The year is 20XX, an era which has no meaning of time. The warring countries of the world have devestated the planet, leaving it a nuclear wasteland. What remains is a single weak government controlled by "The Company." The Company works hard at keeping people alive, but at the same time they strip away the free will of all the humans. Split into three groups, you're either a Syphon (worker), Protocal (House-riddened), or Deamon (theives, those who work against the Company). Individuality is lost, all follow their jobs and live meaningless jobs. Until one Syphon 314 sees the "light." He starts a following called, "The Path," and gets many of his fellow Syphons, Protocals, and Deamons. You play as Syphon 113. A so called glitch in the system occurs and The Company believes that you are Syphon 314. So now your on the run, trying to survive and finding Syphon 314, just to clear your name.

For items press the following buttons (beta test only)
4 - For C-4 (Press control to drop C-4, then press control again to set off)
C - For Charger
D - For Decoder (Decoder has no purpose in Beta)
T - For Teleporter (Press control to throw Teleporting Transciever, then press control againt to teleport)
I - For Cloak (Press control to activate, to deactivate switch item by pressing space)
F - For Force Field (Press control to activate, to deactivate switch item by pressing space)
For additional cheats (beta test only)
B - To increase Primary Weapon (bat) up one level
H - To increase heart capacity (only once)
