Sometime in the past few years a new type of biological weapon was discovered by an American that could rearrange the genetic makeup of human.
Over the years it was tested on immigrants that the border patrol secretly captured. No one seemed to notice the people were ever gone. At first, the scientists were arrested and secretly brought to a containment center somewhere in the southern half of the United States. They were put under the influence of certain brain washing drugs.
Soon enough, the government had a new sort of weapon. It would make the victim's skin melt, and would create a sense of insanity inside one's mind. They would rip people apart in hopes to nullify their pain by concentrating on yours.
Few who came into the containment center ever came out. The ones who did disappeared shortly after, except for one leak that came to be trusted in the early stages of this operation. He presently is one of the only humans left on the continent once known as North America.
The United States started to use this solution to calm riots and other related instances. Countries around the world started to see the cruelty in these actions, and greatly opposed the United States. They started to develop chemicals that would shield them from the effects of this terrible weapon. The U.S. borders were barricaded and sealed shut. The reservations abandoned the United States as they started to apply the solution more and more.
Soon a forth of the country was neutralized. Millions of Americans were tearing away the flesh on each other’s bones. The president was lost in a struggle to contain these creatures. Soon enough the government realized that this chemical would spread from one another. They had created an epidemic.
Asian dictators decided that the United States Epidemic or U.S.E. must be stifled before it was able to reach the rest of the nations on the Western Continent. They launched massive biologically harmful bombs to destroy the rest of the life on the Western Continent, but for some reason it only killed the people without the disease. The only residents left were people in the containment center and the few people who could find shelter else ware.
The people of the Western Continent must seek a cure before it is too late.
