This will be my first attempt at an RPG, so let's see how it turns out.
In a far away land, there exists a kingdom called Damonia. In it, lives a king known an King Dederic, and his beautiful daughter, Princess Amelia. She is desperate into wanting to marry a special someone, so when the news broke on the other side of the land, an evil wizard named Karlov hears about the princess wanting to get married. Karlov plans to capture the princess, and bring her back to his lair so he ends up marrying her. It is now up to Knight Richard to travel across the land to Karlov's lair, and rescue the princess.
Throughout the game, you will fight all kinds of monsters in a turn based RPG battle system. Defeat enemies, level up your stats, buy items and equipment, everything you need to progress further to reach Karlov's lair
I have more updates for you on the game's development. As always, it is still slowly coming along nicely. I'm still working on the second part of the game after the first boss, but I got done making the second town and added more equipment to the armor shop.
I tend to make the second part a bit longer than the first part just so I don't end up making the same type of overworld design pattern, and what I mean by that is making a field area, then a cave with the boss, I want to give it some variety.
I am currently at the beginning of making the next area after the second field which is going to be a forest, and I have to work on its overworld design, as well as new enemies. Not sure how long it's going to take me, but I'll let you know on the progress later on.
I hope I'll be able to release a DEMO of the game before the end of the year, but given how busy my personal life has been lately, I might end up releasing it by the beginning of next year.
That's all for now! Stay tuned for more updates, and have a Happy Halloween!
I just wanted to update you more on the game. It's still slowly coming along just fine, and I'm currently working on the second part of the game after the first boss.
The thing that's really holding me back is designing the overworld. It's a lot of trees, mountains, cave walls, etc. that I have to place down, but I'm trying my best to not make rushed overworld design.
I haven't really done more major things just yet, but I have made a couple new enemies, and I've gone back to previous points of the development cycle to add some extra or minor things, as well as some minor details just to make it look nice.
I've been silent for a month on this game, but I just wanted to let you know that things are still operating just fine, and I'm gonna continue to move forward with its development. If you're gonna ask for a DEMO release date, I don't have one yet, so please be patient.
That's all for now! Stay tuned for more updates, and I'll see ya next time!
I just wanted to update you on the progress with the game. So far, it's coming out nicely, but I've been slowly working on it, and I'm still stuck way at the beginning part of the game, though I'm actually near the end of making the first dungeon where the first boss fight will take place.
I've been so focused lately with school that I couldn't get a lot of time to work on it since I had to finish up school related projects, but now that I'm on summer vacation, I'll have plenty of time to work on the game.
This is gonna be my very first official RPG, and I'm not expecting it to be great or anything like that. I want it to at least be decent so that you guys can enjoy it. I've realized that making RPGs is a lot more tough than making platformers, but I wanted to challenge myself by working on a new genre of games, but there's gonna be some bumps on the road along the way, but I'll do my best to make it enjoyable at the very least. I hope you guys understand that.
I will release a DEMO of the game soon so that you guys can have early access to it and give me feedback on the game for the final release. I want to at least make it to the first two main bosses for the DEMO so that you guys can have plenty to play with.
That's all I have for now, stay tuned for more updates, and also please check out my previous games if you haven't already, including my latest one, Alex & Friends' Quest Remastered, and I'll see ya guys next time!
