"Forest" is essentially done.

Essentially because I haven't put in the stars or the exit yet. However, those bulldozer people came back and replanted the background foliage, so that was nice of them.

Some people have stated that the place looks different than it did in the original, or not, I'm not really sure how I was supposed to interpret the statements. Anyway, the Forest is structurally similar to the original level, except for a hidden spot and an added cave thingy. Comparable areas can be seen in the screenshots. Which reminds me, gloves are now stored in bubbles for sanitation. You touch a bubble and the glove falls out. Then you pick up the glove, and if it's your first glove in the file, then it'll be all "Yay! You found Top's Gloves!" even though there was only one glove in the bubble. Just a little effect.

Also, OMC pointed out that Tops doesn't have a body, but he'll still be on all fours sometimes. It'll look awkward, but you'll be laughing when you see how he does it.

And if you want to play the original Tops 2, AndyUK's Tops Compilation still is up on the internets, so you can play both the original and Tops 2 Plus, which reminds me, the levels in this game are pretty short, so I might have to remake those levels as well.

But the old game don't seem to work on my PC. Possibly because they were made with the 16 bit build of The games factory.

I could try to play through and grab some screenies on my laptop though if you like. Not that I'm particularly good at it myself.

Also there are only about 5 levels in Tops 2 plus

Andy, if you could take some screenies of every level past the canyon-type one with the red balls shooting out of the holes, that would be greatly appreciated. It'd also be nice if you could get pictures and describe the movement pattern of McDoss, the final boss.

i need to grab a picture for myself so i can remember what he looks like.
I'm thinking he might be based on Tweeg from that Teddy ruxpin cartoon but i'm not even sure.
