that demo you released was very buggy. i know its not supposed to be bug free. im just saying this to give you some hints before it gets too far into develupment to change anything.

For when mega man shoots, if you keep it comtroled with the mouse, make sure that you use a 360 degree shooting engine. with the 32 degree one it is very unaccurate, and will become a distraction during gameplay.
it also might help to make mega man look at the mouse, that would be easy, mabey something like
+Mouse X position < Pleyer X position
-Set direction to <-

(same with greater than)

These are just some hints to help you make a more bug free game.
Afterall though, these are just my opinion.

Thanks, I did think of mega man looking at where he's shooting, if he shoots up maybe I'll make his eyes move up as well, and if the crosshairs are behind him then he should face that direction as well.

This was more of a pre-PRE-PRE Alpha tech demo, just to show people that I am indeed serious on making this game.

Strangely I KNOW i updated the demo to reflect the mega man jumping sample + some other random things, but it wasn't updating on my ftp. The link is fixed now but its nothing major.

Hmm, now that I've seen the demo, I like this much. Shooting blocks apart is a nice feeling. A few issues that keep me from enjoying this though:

The mouse buttons should be switched. The trigger finger should be for firing. Left click fire. Right click Jump.

The bullets need to be a little faster.

Mega Man's Jump is .. well, not Mega Man enough.

There's a mis-placed Hot Spot in there somewhere or something, cause it sometimes shoots from weird spots when I jump.

I'd rather not have to use mouse and keyboard both if it can be avoided.

MegaMan's animations don't display according to where he is shooting toward. (this actually doesn't bother me)
(but, it would make the game look nicer, and probably annoys others)

If you want, I could work on it with ya. I have some pretty sweet ideas in mind. But alot of people seem to be skiddish about giving out their source code for some reason. <shrugs> .. I'm here if you need me.

One idea is to have MegaMan walk right or left towards the mouse cursor as well, so everything could be with the mouse, instead of bothering with both keyboard and mouse.

You could have 2 modes. Click the center mouse button to switch between walking while shooting mode and stationary aim mode. Or, you could go a little abstract and use the mouse wheel. Move mouse wheel forward to go right and backward to go left.

I have a load of ideas about everything really. If you need any help just say so. The only problem is I only have TGF 1, and this seems to be made in TGF 2. But if I get a few TGF2 projects to work on, it'll be worth buying it.
