Even for a demo, this game is pretty short. You can control two characters: Megaman and Zero, each of whom has a separate level to go through. The levels aren't particularly long, but they give you a feel for the game and its engine.

Practically everything in this entire game is ripped, making it difficult to review. The graphics are from one or more of the Megaman games, I assume, and the music comes from there as well. (I've never played any of the Mega Man games, so I'll try and rectify that as soon as possible). Now, the movement is most certainly a custom engine, allowing moves such as jumping up walls, but the author has said in the description that no custom movement was used. In that case, was this ripped from somewhere as well?

Initially, the title screen looks impressive, with the "Mega Man" logo and the characters, and a "starfield" in the background. After that the character selection screen is a stark contrast - an entirely blank blue background, and the character's names printed in a font that I don't have (they just came out as the infamous "squares" - well, Zero's name did. Megaman's came out in musical notation for some reason).

Level design isn't very good - as you can tell from the screenshot, the "essential" platforms are the only scenery around, with just a blank level backdrop and nothing decorative in the background at all. This gives the levels a very bland look. The sprites are well animated, but as said before I can't be sure if just ripped graphics were used, or entire ripped objects.

For all the game's faults, the gameplay itself is pretty good, if basic: make your way through the level shooting anything that shoots back, and collide with the exit to end the game. For Megaman, you get a "Thanks for playing" screen, but for Zero it just sends you back to the company logo.

As a fangame this isn't too bad, but it definitely needs more decoration in the levels, and crediting where engines/objects/everthing was ripped from would be better as well.
