Some people may disagree with this review. Thats fine. For people who only play this game for a few minutes then turn it off, they may wonder what the big deal was.

Well I spent some time with it and I can tell you that this is a well made rpg, as old-school as you can possibly get. This isn't a Final Fantasy, or even a Dragon Warrior, we are talking "Ultima: Exodus" old-school. But if you view this game as exactly that, you can appreciate how rock solid the gameplay is.

Graphics are ripped. Characters look nice, enemies look like crap, menus look like crap, title screen looks like crap. HOWEVER, nearly all of the oldest classic rpgs has awful graphics. Old school rpg's arent about the graphics, it's all about gameplay.

Menus are ugly, yes. But they are very professionl in how they are coded. You move a simple cursor in a simple menu, press enter, move your cursor to the next option, press enter. All the while, new windows appear on top of one another as though this were a true rpg from the late 80's, early 90's Dragon Warrior fashion.

Music is ok. At first I thought the battle music was way too slow and relaxing, but I got used to it. Now it helps me take my time in the battles.

Of course there are things that could use attention. Sometimes its difficult to see what your commands are doing while you are on the map. Did I use that potion? How much did it heal? Did it cure that guys poison?

There are also too many enemy encounters, and some of the earliest enemies are WAY too hard to kill. But once again, difficult enemies from the very start is like classic rpg's. In the first Dragon Warrior game, anything but a blue slime would whip your @#% when you get started.

In summary, this is the best classic rpg style game Ive seen made with a klik program. I will never be able to beat it. Its too hard. Its designed to require hours of careful leveling up and item managing.

Very good work.
