I've been working on a new sound plugin for tgf(and at some point mmf) that handles wav and ogg music playback. I have just implemented 2D positional sound. This is a little demo app that shows off the positional sound's a little subtle, but it's a good demonstration.

I hope to start beta testing within the next couple of days before I release the full version of the plugin. Anyone interested please email me at Let me know what you want to see in a plugin like this.

Nothing's happening... The ball just bounces around making a 'crunch' type of noise :-p

You may not have the currect speaker types or sound settings to let the sound move from speaker to speaker. ;-)

Interesting, however a few notes. The plugin do not seem to work properly just yet. The sound is not played always (regardless of the ball being left or right). Im not an expert in sound and dont really know the excact distinction between 2d and 3d sound ... however should it be possible to play a sound from center (that is from both speakers)?

Works alright with mine. Although it doesn't seem like it's originating from the right place.

Cybermaze: You right about the sound playing from the center and playing on both speakers. From the tests I did it was doing that if the ball bounced somewhere near the center of the screen. There is a still some more work to be done on the plugin to get everything setup correctly and allow fine tuned results for the user. Thanks for the feedback so far...let me know if your interested in testing the plugin.
