This game is a platfromer with about 15 levels, please enojy it, theres no music so youll have to improvise, the engine is good. the grpahics are ok. theres lots of minigames too.

I'll admit, some people here are cool and helpful but unelss you have something worthwhile to say, don't say anything at all.

Dude, the graphics were good for the actives, but you shouldn't use gradients if you can help it.

How come Eddy never turns around, does he think there's nothing interesting over there or something?
I never made it past the baloon level, that zigzag line of '?' baloons was impassible, well, it was but it'd always place me in the way of a spike.

And you told everyone who was patient enough to read the read me what happens to his girlfriend!

this game is good for your first, but not good enough for my thumbs up. Keep at your next project though!

I don't like the fact that the file has an installer. It's alot easier for the people who are downloading the game if you just zip up the files that are needed into a folder and leave it like that.
Some people might actually not play the game since they have to install a 391kb game (and with some people I mean lazy people like myself)

The fact that there was no music threw me off right from the start, could have been bareable if there had been sound in the game, but there were no sounds either.

Played to that cave level, then I quit playing. Upp until that point the only difference between the enemies was their appearance. The parts with moving platforms got tedoious. You should have broken of with another moving platform so the player wuold have to switch platforms. And since you only used a gradient as background, those parts got extremely boring, since nothing at all happened during those elements.

Didn't see much original ideas, interesting scenarios or extensive storytelling during the 6 levels I actually played. Maybe it comes in the later levels, though I guess it doesn't.

And the thuings you've written in the Readme file (except for the walkthrough) should be in the game as obvius information that the player cannot miss. Otherwise the player will get annoyed and eventually quit playing. I hope your definition of extensive story isn't "story in external file".

Sorry to give you such harsh words but since the engine is pretty much solid I think you could make some good games.

And I agre with CsaR. Since the game is so small and you have no external files (except from that Readme)
you'd be better off with just putting the .exe in a zip. The installer just takes unnecessary place.

The graphics are OK, but i wanted there to be music and sound... my ears were sucking in air! that i wanted to hear something soo bad!

And the idea of having an installer burns me! especcialy that sort of installer which install's in the Windows games folder.

and the game was EXTREMLY boring, no funny effects, no sound, OR music, and everything is soo small!

and when the game started i had no idea what the hell was going on???

thankyou very much for all your constructive comments, i didn't mention that i made this a very long time ago.

the lack of sound is a large downside, im sorry about that. also i originally made it for people without clickteam product so it was only an install file.

i have now learnt to never use gradients, but i thought the other graphics were reasonable for what it is.

the game was a designed as a game with constant variation in what you played but maybe there werent particually very original.

the readme does contain a lot of info, maybe too much which some could be explained in the game i guess.

eddy never turns around because hes facing the way he should go, apart from on the cave where he turns around half way through becasue he needs to.

the moving platforms take an unnecessary amount of time to come i agree with that.

the engine is solid and is good to play and goes all the way through but in other levels where your rope climbing etc.

apart from those, i think i did a good job.

Posted by izac 17th November, 2005

Yes i must say, the engine is very solid.

Posted by Dogzer 17th November, 2005

looks good in the screenshots. too bad it's a setup.exe - the last thing i need is another entry on my registry files.

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 17th November, 2005

OK everyone, i see your point. Installing games isn't liked. I've now updated it, and theres a .exe, .gam, .wri files. No need to install. Thankyou!

Eddy very much resembles Tanooji....

But he's blue.

and has no arms.

Posted by Dustin Gunn 17th November, 2005

your description is horribly misleading. How is an extremely simple platform game a testament to TGF's power? Also, TGF has power?

Posted by izac 18th November, 2005

This!? a TESTAMENT to TGF's POWER!? of coures...

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 18th November, 2005

i used the word compliment, and yes, g fac pretty much owns you and is powerful.
i was just being descriptive

anyhow, what have you got against games factory?

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 18th November, 2005

Also, i've never heard of Tanooji, but he prob copyed me.

Posted by alex goss 18th November, 2005

your all excessviely harsh as if its bad,
when youve never done anything better, and TGF rules

Posted by Dustin Gunn 19th November, 2005

As a tradeoff to its ease of use, TGF is quite the opposite of powerful. A few hundred objects running at once brings it to its knees. I don't think you have to worry about that with this game, however.

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 19th November, 2005

Well, what the hell does everyone have against TGF? No-one trying to make Unreal Tournament on it, unless your stupid and crippled. So anyway, mmf isn't that much more powerful anyway, does anyone here even like clickteam products?

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 19th November, 2005

TGF was fantastic. MMF has just overshadowed it by being moreso.

Posted by The Chris Street 19th November, 2005

MMF is way more powerful dude. You need to learn to behave yourself here.

Also:

"Few have experienced this incredible game, and it is a compliment to the power of games factory and programs alike."

I mentioned this kind of "self indulgent hyping" at Klik-Me. Let US decide if the game is incredible please.

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 19th November, 2005

Argh, behave myself? What does that mean. Im not gonna argue with you, but as your all excessively tight arsed, im going to take out my description.

Posted by The Chris Street 19th November, 2005

Hmm. Incredible?

No.

Sorry, I don't like this game. The graphics are way too simplistic, Eddy doesn't turn around, the platform engine, although solid, jerks when you move down slopes (and I don't feel that it's entirely your own work either - everything about the game screams "crudeness", from the graphics to the lack of music or any decent presentation). If I were to review it I would probably give it a 2 or 3/10 tops.

Sorry to be so blunt, but this game is a perfect excuse as to why you should never sell your games as being "an extensive, quality game which is fun to play".

Posted by izac 19th November, 2005

I was shocked about the comment about MMF being NOT much more powerful than TGF! TGF = NORMAL MMF = INCREDIBLE!

Posted by vortex2 19th November, 2005

lol MMF owns TGF .

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 20th November, 2005

well, i changed the description,

also, your eqaution kinda messed up there.
tgf=normal mmf=incredible
that states that all three are the same thing, so both tgf and normal mmf are as good as each other(backing up my point) also, that there both equally incredible.

thanks, also, i now state that this is crap compared to what tgf can do. i was just trying to be friendly and i think it is an ok game.

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 21st November, 2005

A comma would have been satisfactory, what he wrote means exactly what i said. It has one space inbetween, and normal mmf is the not pro version of mmf. Normal, Pro. Pro is better, therefore his equation made perfect sense.

Anyway, I really couldn't care less, also you also can't complain with my new description. bye

Posted by alex goss 21st November, 2005

mmf= ugly shit
tgf= sexy legendary program that everyone should love

Posted by Bibin 21st November, 2005

"mmf= ugly shit
tgf= sexy legendary program that everyone should love "

MMF is a little ugly with the interface, if they could combine MMF's power with TGF's interface, we would have a legend of a program.

Posted by Dustin Gunn 22nd November, 2005

TGF's interface sucks. You're just used to it so it seems better. However, MMF's picture and animation editor is an abomination so TGF has its place afterall.

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 22nd November, 2005

TGF IS a legendary program, as is MMF. TGF is more of a game maker which is good rather than mmf which is more designed for making web browsers?

Posted by alex goss 22nd November, 2005

you can make good games without going over 200 objects. it is possible!!

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 22nd November, 2005

stupid loser: NO NO NO, only good games come from 30000 particles of invisble spectacles! good luck with your life.

Posted by Fuckosh 23rd November, 2005

Don't you get it? Who gives a shite about GRADIENTS? This is great, and the balloon level is possible, i did it.

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 23rd November, 2005

TOO RIGHT! well in that man.

Posted by fredoric 23rd November, 2005

this game is sweet! well done matty

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 23rd November, 2005

thanks a lot. i like the postive comments

Posted by Peblo 24th November, 2005

Matty: Nice job treating people like crap, even ones that aren't even posting anything negative. We've had multiple discussions in the boards about users who have become attached to TGF to see that MMF is really better. Go and google it. Maybe you'll learn something.
Fuckosh: The background is what sets the mood for the level. Gradients make the game feel empty, and it looks like the maker was sloppy with the graphics.

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 24th November, 2005

see, thats the kind of comment that is 100% pointless.
what is wrong with me? im sorry whatever i said to piss anyone off...im sicker than your average you dont know my style!
meh. its all good, i made this game ages ago. just wonderened what you guys thought about it.
next game-no graidents.

Posted by alex goss 25th November, 2005

next game they'll find something else to complain about.

Posted by matty - (pandemonium games) 28th November, 2005

I think everyone ran when they saw some postive comments.

Posted by alex goss 8th December, 2005

sounds good

Posted by alex goss 9th December, 2005
