I didn't think there was anyone else out there who appreciated the original as much as I did! This is a very faithful remake and the things that were changed were changed for the better.

Thanks! I grew up playing the original as a kid and definitely regard it as one of the NES classics. The soundtrack alone makes it one of the best games on the console imo

This was a really fun project that involved ALOT of testing both on the NES and in my game to get all the placements, movements and timings just right. I played the stages probably 100 times mapping out were and what enemies appeared etc.

Play was highlighted, but nothing happened when I pressed enter, spacebar, or anything.

Good remake, I really like how you have been brave enough to change some things.

The collision is a bit messed up though, walking into a small wall will most certainly spaz out the character. Also, I didn't like how I had to wait for the level intro and the fact that there was no way to reset a level (something you typically wanted to be able to do in those games). Are there shops in the game or is there no purpose for the money in your version? Since there is always autofire and no reason to stop autofiring, wouldn't it be nice to have a more silent shooting sound as to not disturb the music?

Anyway, great job!
