Ryan S: You're Australian, right? Yeah, I caught that recent repeat of the Office as well. Theres a few fans of the show floating around here. I know Damien Teapot and I are particularly big fans of the series. Its actually my favourite show.
But enough about tv, Ive seen some of your work before, you should have a decent opinion of my zoo creations here? Eh?
'oh yeah? he's thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you done?'
Haha alright then.
Fantastic work, very professional looking. Good choice of colours - out of the norm - which is great. It's good to see the process as well, seeing as when draw, any style, I usually do it freehand, no basic shapes or anything. That's just the way I do it.
My favourite is the owl, it just seems very detailed. Also I like you little 'ist' signature. Nice work
Thanks matey. I dont always use shapes to create the lineart, but it works for rounded objects/characters. Its also good if you want the image to look somewhat balanced. I good way of checking if an character looks balanced is by flipping the image horizontly and asking yourself,'does it still work?'
Just something I do sometimes, espectially with hand drawn works. Although if it isnt balanced I rarely go back and change it (laziness), instead I just leave it as unfinished due to disatisfaction.
But thats just me.
UPDATEEE: Heres a new character I just finished-
