I thought I'd be a rebel against all the "Circy-bashing" going on lately. Dont know much about it, but I just read ER and got a good idea. So I just want to say thanks to circy for putting up with us and sticking with the DC. Your one of few admins who update the site recently, and I think all those prats bashing you should get a life.
While I wish this thread could change it, it probably won't. But I agree, it's getting out of hand. A playful prod every now and then is ok (Like when we give Circ crap for his old DR Pepper picture), but the shit that goes on here is just stupid. It just proves that some people have nothing better to do.
I've noticed a change in old Circy boy as of late, he used to be all up for suggestions for features/little extras on TDC and hell used to have some fun while he was here. Now it seems that those days are gone. And I can't say if he'll actually be around much longer, but here's to hopin'.
Yeh. I use to speak to him quite a lot but I don't know him too well now. But I still don't understand why people have a go at him when he is clearly one of the hardest working admins around here (no offence to the other admins, but he is one l33t admin)
Some people here just like to jump on the bandwagon.
Various members from other parts of the kilk community like to have a laugh maybe because circy is connected to TDC or becuase they don't like his games.
Whatever the reasons there is no need to pick on someone too much, Three circy 'piss take' games is too much i think.

Thanks guys for your support I know I can get a bit hot headed at times and perhaps occasionally take it out on people who I shouldn't. I'm not particularly feeling astoundingly happy in the real world atm and the last thing I want to do when I come online is to sort out (or be involved in) arguments.
Im suprised people would have the nerve to diss an admin. Whether its jealousy or just immaturity its sad. If people are clever enough to develop computer games, why the hell do so many act like dumb-asses on here? Circy your not big headed, ive known people with the biggest heads in the world. (No jokes there, about how big was their head etc!)

And I thourght that circy 3 game was pritty malicious. He for the most part seems to be a rather balanced admin.
Circy is one of the few people here I look up to. I think he's hard working and quite talented, despite being rather lazy at times.
I'm genuinely sick of the same old people constantly badgering him over the most minor of things. It's just a pity the staff allow such things to continue.
Beh. Circy used to be cool. Then he started acting like a dick. Now he's better. Maybe not cool, but at least he understands that sometimes it does have something to do with his behaviour.
And I can perfectly understand why some people might hold a grudge.
And I think anyone unconditionally against criticizing an admin just because they're an admin needs to think a little more about their position. I don't agree with hounding someone all through the forums when it's unprovoked, but there's nothing wrong with telling someone they've fucked up when they make a stupid decision that affects everyone else. This isn't a democracy; it's a private system. There's no 'better way' to deal with a situation involving someone who has relatively absolute power over you. It mightn't make a difference, but it ruins the illusion of blind acceptance.
Anyway, things are pretty alright ATM. About a month ago was bad, now it's more of a background thing.
I'm endlessly amused by replacing the anti-circy bandwagon with an anti-anti-circy bandwagon though.
Ok, this has gone on long enough. Circy's extremely close to deleting these posts about him, it's become its own forum for "lets insult Circy and see how far we can push him".
If anyone else insults him, and he catches glimpse of it, these posts will be deleted, as will the individual doing so. He's NOT going to be pushed around and told what to do or how to act. He does more than his fair share of work here at TDC and will not be treated in such an unfair and singled out manner. He doesnt care who it is who next insults him, if they do it on this website he will get rid of them. Don't even think about testing him, because he's real serious. Let him get on with his community volenteering duties here, and you get on with your own projects.

But I just want to say this (however corny it may be)...
Circy is not the only victim, all though he has been attacked a lot more lately. There are other admins- namely Pete Natress- and loads of newbies who are being attacked without reason. We should be helping each other- offering constructive critisims to though who need it. Newbies do not improve by being attacked viciously.

Yes, I agree! Circy rocks! Yes, MSD was overrated and too hard and he didn't add a save like he should have, but without Circy, where would TDC be? To Circy!
I don't know the details about most of this (being absent from the click community for a few years does that to you), but people banding together behind a hard-working admin (especially on a site as cool as this) always warms my heart. There are perfectly healthy ways to show your disagreement with how someone runs the site without outright insulting them. I don't want to be a ACBR (since I don't know any of the details), but I still think it's cool.
I'll join both, anti-cricy bashing rebel, & the phizzy bashing rebel. I'll be sure to miss the bashing, but I'll get over it. (Now where's my fancy "Anti-Circy Bashing Rebels" rating?)
I was thinking about making a game with the ACBR, and they are like the Power Rangers, and Circy is that head in the jar, but it's still in the design phase.
Well ... I havent been much around here lately, so I dont know how much or little has been going on.
But in general noone should be bashed. As far as I know, Circy seems to be a good admin.
On the other hand noone should be too serious not to see the fun in a prank. So doing a game about an admin/other TDC member should be allowed, as long as it is fun and tasteful.
I'm happy to have fun poked at me, but theres a line between humour and downright rudeness. And I agree with what Hamish says too Maybe one day I'll bother getting my webcam out and perform some poses
Its fun to make fun of Circy, but like he said, theres fun & then theres rudeness, & thats where we need to stop. Circy's cool, but we cant take it to the point where we are basicly being assholes. Keep it simple.
The point isn't whether or not he's cool, it's when he does something stupid that affects people (specifically me), and then acts like a dick when you tell him he's screwed up. But he hasn't done that for a while, almost like he's a decent person, so there's no need for an circy bashing and having an anti-anti-circy-bandwagon-bandwagon is fucking retarded.
Note that there's always a difference between bashing and straight-faced observation.

Hmm well amazingly enough, if I act all defensive its usually for a just cause. Circy 3 was a just cause. The Klik-Me MSD review perhaps wasn't a just cause, and I think thats what Dustin and Radix are basing their arguments on. Well, thats the earliest example I can remember. But generally if I've been defensive over the last year, its been for good reason.

I don't agree you shouldn't get offended by stuff said on the internet. Why should it be any different just because you'll probably never meet the person face to face. If a newsreader on TV read out an announcement saying you're a cunt, you'd be more than a little miffed. If someone sent you a letter saying you're a prick, you probably wouldn't be too pleased.

There's no reason why you shouldn't be offended by stuff people say on the internet. But it does have much less impact than someone saying it to your face, for example. The lack of tone and some removal of context will also affect how you react to it. Say someone tells you to "fuck off" on a message board. If you take it as a jovial comment, and that will depend a lot on your personality, then of course it won't affect you. Take it as serious and you may be somewhat abashed. And of course, you can't always be sure that you've interpreted it correctly. So I partly agree with defenestrator and partly with Trev. Call it a third party vote.
Im a different person online as i am probably more outspoken compared to in the real world. But when ive annoyed someone i usually apologise, thats me.
I guess some people like to have a laugh at others expense , its just the way they are.

I think this idea is stupid. Circy is big enough and certainly ugly enough to fight his own battles. As such, I'm forming the Anti Anti Circy Bashing Rebels to fight out against people who think Circy is too weak to cope & needs their help
