The new "Bloody Massacre" game is absolutely disgusting. The author and DC administrators / moderators should consider the potentially very young visitors that this site. While the author is certainly entitled to amuse himself in any pathetic way he chooses, I wish he would not pollute the Daily Click with this trash. And a moderator had the nerve to put this on the front page?
I have been visitng DC for a couple of years, and have even posted reviews and a game. I thought of the DC as a respectable "klik" site; apparently I was mistaken. To protest the Daily Click's shameless promotion of obscenity, I have removed the game I submitted---an action which is, admittedly, only symbolic. I am not trying to be squeamish or prudish, but seriously: "Bloody Massacre" is completely tasteless, and should be banned, not put on the front page.
Are you for real?
Bloody massacre is a fantastic, well made and extremly enjoyable game. This site is to allow people to view, play and interact with other people who like to play and make games.
If you find yourself feeling offended by material of this content then is it such a good idea to be playing games. Games have always been an artistic outlet and yes many have been borderline exceptable, Ever played "Soldior of Fortune". It won many awards for its inivetive and extremly fluid gore system.
I actually feel offended that somone could have such a negative view of a comunity built on exceptance of people's personal tastes and artistic direction.
If you really are offended by what i class as a Terrific game (And obviously so do the admin) then you are correct in excluding yourself from this community.
There is a warning at the begining of the game stating that if you are under 16 then you should't play this game. (which you should have read before posting this topic) and if this is the most offencive thing you have ever seen then you live in an extremly sheltered reality. You only have to turn on the news to see worse.
The Entertainment industry has always and will always be a very violent place. I strongly recomend that anyone who visits this sight to download and play this game and dont be put off by a small minority.
This isn't one of your twisted ideas again is it, Phredreeke?
There's nothing bad about the game. Infact, it kicks ass! It's well done and has good gameplay and graphics and stuff, there's no reason it should be deleted. If you don't like gory and bloody stuff, don't download it! It's not our problem if YOU don't like it.

Official DC policy is we accept anything that is not blatantly pornographic or exhibits discrimination (e.g. racism, homophobia), or anything else which we would deem unacceptable for _anyone_ to view. It is also policy to post games of a high standard of quality on the front page. The game fulfils all these requirements and thus will stay on the site. Wong even marked it with a warning on the front page.
Simply put, we are not a site for kids, we are a site for everyone. We will not refuse a game if it is inappropriate for children, and we will try not to stifle freedom of expression as much as possible.
A simple warning should be good enough. You don't want to ban a game for no good reason.
You didn't have to delete your own game either. Seems a little pointless to me.

I think DC is fairly respectable, at least its not omg'd spammed.
If you think Bloody Massacre is bad, don't look up The Last Resurection.

harvy you have been foolish. I wouldnt bring an issue like this up on tdc. You thought Tdc was respectable? You havent read some of the arguements that take place? youve been on the site 2 years?
You guys are right in that I may have overreacted. Of course I support freedom of expression. It happens that I am just as disgusted by gratuitous violence as the moderators are by racism:
"Official DC policy is we accept anything that is not blatantly pornographic or exhibits discrimination (e.g. racism, homophobia), or anything else which we would deem unacceptable for _anyone_ to view."
So does that mean you are against films too? Films which are gory and feature blood? Or perhaps you are against violent computer games?
Your attitude is pretty immature in my eyes.

"Or perhaps you are against violent computer games?"
Hah, Circy, I think he may just be as he's posting about how he doesn't like a violent computer game. Anyway, Harvy, you may find the game tasteless, but as you can see from its reviews, the vast majority do not, and therefore the majority win. That's how we work here; we will not delete a game just because one person does not like it. The best solution is to just ignore it and carry on downloading games you will enjoy.
"Harvy is obviously in pre-school, and there for he cannot tolerate bloody 'ooky' games."
Nobody in pre-school can spell like that.

"Harvy, Harvy, Harvy the wonder hamster!
He doesn't bite,
and he doesn't squeal,
he just runs around on his hamster wheel!
Harvy, Harvy, Harvy the wonder hamster!
Hey Harvy!"
