I'm bored so just thought I'd post about this and see what you think. Well Chris Street/Circy has posted on his site that he is thinking of quitting TDC and possibly Klik-me. He says he is "less tempted" to leave the DC but from the comments on his site it seems like he wants to quit pretty badly (to me anyway).

I don't know if you're just a bit moody lately (no offence intended) and his post was just a rant, but I think if you're going to quit you may as well do so now. I don't particularly agree with the comments you made neither about admins being lazy and referring to the DC as an "asylum". At the end of the day we're just having a bit of fun and there are some of us who just joke around a lot - without them this place would be more boring . And I don't think its a "shambles" neither but yeh that's just my opinion.

In your post you seemed to moan a bit, and I think if you want to quit deep down, then you should just do it. I don't think posting comments about it is the right way to do it - it's just disrespectful in my opinion, considering the amount of work Rikus, Clubsoft and other admins have put into the DC. Clubby and Rikus have been doing the new site, even though they actually have lives - and other admins have been helping with the DC game and helping out on the forums. So personally I don't have a clue what you're talking about - if you could point out specifics then please do so.

In my opinion you're being "over-dramatic" and I hope you don't quit - I mean some of us here have done you favours you know? Like sticking up for you when people started slagging you off and such. So I hope you decide to stay - cos you are a nice guy. Anyway if anyone else has views on this, or wants to completely have a go at me, then please do it here!

You can read the message he posted at http://www.klikacademy.com/circy/

He threatens to quit every time there's dharma. Terrible sword of damocles, that one. I don't care if he does or doesn't, just so long as he does it quietly. Though I suppose him not being able to declare he's going to ban everybody every couple of months would be nice.

Well I personally think Circy is one of the best admins. Since he's quite active, in posting news, writing on the boards, approving new games. The setback of that is that you are bound to get a lot of shit your way. Admins are basicly like the police and nobody likes them either .

It would be regrettable if he left as an admin here at TDC and I would consider that a loss and not a gain. But hey if you gotta quit then that's okay.

The point about him writing it on his site doesn't really concern me because everybody seems to do that in bloggs (or whatever they are called) nowadays anyway.

Dude, Circys the best admin...I kinda agree with him though. This place is full of crap and junk. I remember fist coming to this site about three years ago and there actually some good content on the forums. There are some people that should be banned too...I think I should get out my dog to eat some kitties...

Regardless of the fact that in the past, Circy and I have had our battles & disagreements, I still rather I didnt quit, and I agree that rules should be taking slightly more seriously around the site, but I also dont agree that turning the place into a prison cell is going to make anything better. We need a happy medium and so far, & viewing things in Circys eyes, the admins havent really done much to enforce the rules around here. That doesnt mean they are lazy though. Anyway, some small scale changes could be made, but then again, a ransom of quitting vs making changes, isnt what I would decided, expecially when there are unfortiently, alot of people on this site, that would be all for Circy quitting. Personally, I think we just need to let him know about the other half that doesnt. All for Circy staying at DC, here here!

I agree that Circy is one of the best admins - although recently his activity has been pretty low. And I'd rather he not quit - I just think that maybe it would have been better to discuss these problems with Rikus/Club privately than maybe make such a big deal about it publicly. Just my opinion anyway - and I think he won't quit, but if he does then there's not much that can be done. I personally don't see any problem with members - and I don't think anyone deserves to be banned really. Unless I just haven't been here often

Anyway Chris please stay - you may not like some people here, and they may not like you, but you still have friends.

Yeah but he'll probably piss off away from the community anyway. Although I fail to understand how anybody could leave a website.

"Nope, I promised myself I would never visit back to that evil, evil website."

They're either trying to prove something, which is always the case and by prove something I mean they're really annoyed by something so they announce their leaving of the vile community and actually manage to leave for 6 weeks. Checking back a few weeks to see if his sudden voyage has affected anyone. It hasn't and in the end realizes that you can't leave a website because it's fucking stupid.

I've never left this website.

I think it's fun.

Hey at least I haven't spammed around the place advertising that I'm thinking of leaving, you know? I've only posted my thoughts and opinions on the matter on my own website, and nowhere else, because I feel it's wrong to bash everything here.

Irritatingly though that as soon as I post that, the site actually gets recoded... miracles DO happen! And now I feel pretty stupid. But never mind.

My activity has been pretty low the past week because I was on holiday. In bed, ill, and fed up.

I've been thinking of quitting Klik-Me for ages (if you don't believe me Radix, check out the staff forums, I posted some time ago). The majority of the reviews and previews there have been written by myself

I didn't realise it was a crime to have thoughts on leaving administrational duties anyway. I've been doing the job for over three years now, and loads of stuff has happened. Stuff that I've caused, stuff that I've inadvertantly caused, stuff that I didn't cause, stuff that I didn't deserve. I don't want to think that I'm trying to garner up some sympathy "Don't go Chris, please don't" votes, because I'm not. End of the day, it's my site, I can say whatever I want to on there. I do feel that saying I'm holding a ransom of quitting as a threat is a low blow as I never, ever blackmail anyone.

No drama ever intended. Just posting up my thoughts. As I said to Wartagon in an email, I hardly ever follow up on things anyway. If I had posted my thoughts here, I can imagine Rikus or Clubsoft stripping me of any admin privilages anyway, thus making the decision for me. And rather than starting up topics in an effort to get answers from me, why don't you send me a mail?

Anyway, I think that three years of administrator abuse is more than enough. Maybe it is time to hand over my part to someone else. I've tried. I feel I've more than done my bit for this community. But then again, maybe a small inkling is holding me here, trapped. As I said I haven't decided and I won't decide overnight, but these negative feelings have been building up for a while now, since around the summer period, in fact.

I wasn't trying to create hype or anything - just saying that you quitting would be a real shame, and in my opinion you should be speaking to Rikus/Club about this. I'm assuming you haven't spoke to them. But that's just my opinion. You start talking like you've failed or something, when actually it's the minority of people who "upset" you and make you feel like that - I think it's sad that you don't realise what you've actually done, and that you feel you have to quit. Sorry if you find my opinion insulting or whatever.

It's nothing that (at this present time) anybody has done. There have been no conflicts or dramas - although perhaps referring to TDC as an asylum was admittedly a bit too far, but part of me just feels that it's time to draw a line. Three years is a pretty long time for any one person to stick around at a community site, and it is largely down to TDC that I'm so well known in the community. The part of me that is refraining from having to confirm a departure is that I feel that it's nice being in a position such as this one, and it's a position that most klikkers will seldom experience. I did mention in the admin forums a few months back that quitting was on my mind, but at the time I was heavily under attack during the Circy 3 era. I haven't spoken to Rikus or Clubsoft personally about this, maybe it was wrong to launch into a tirade about the lack of progress, but I genuinely feel that there could be some significant improvements. I'm all for having fun and everything but it would be nice, for instance, if someone else took the realms of GOTW from time to time. I've been doing it solidly for a year, bar a few weekends when I've been on holiday, and the responsibility has suddenly fallen on my shoulders. All the admins appear to assume that I'm fine with doing GOTW, which is true, but it would be nice not to have to ask around in the admin forums for someone to do it while I'm away. That kind of thing.

Don't leave Circy! Your'e doing a very good job!
Though your stinking review about computer handyman while you were a small child (J/K!!!), you promoted several of my game on the first page including some of my less good products, also promoting others and the GOTW of Circy 3, which is very brave of you! Your'e good as an editor! Man! Very good! You work well, as you approve games to the DC, include my'n without being bad-aid, If I don't wrong you even donated sums to this site while me don't even have a credit card you know... You take everything pretty easy, only playing a monster as a joke, you take everything offensive while holding it deep inside won't let it go outrage keeping yourself polite and serious... Listen, you could block so many people out of this site while you didn't... Your'e active here, you have opinions... You don't really want to leave... Actually... Well... Your'e good in this! Keep up! You take the bones of circy it won't be as same because it's 1 less driver to the buss, less feul to the air class... Someone needs to drive it up! Aggggge, Radix or Phizzy isn't a replacement! Can't you take them in control too, helping along by your side, when your'e abit down, or into vacation, instead of leaving the whole stuff... Off course you're not leaving, but many here, including myself would like to take a more active part in something if you want to give up on the dirty jobs, Aggggge would like to mess with it! I would like to give a shot from time to time, like making some cartoon characters to frash the page or a little logo on top page for a game when it's GOTW... Like you might want to... Similar things, Why not letting Aggggge approving downloads as a backup force? Or letting Phizzy to post some news, while your'e out, passing the crown temporarly to someone who's excited to replace you... Samurai Pizza Cats couldn't do it alone without their backup team... You don't leave this town as it seems to me, but track it down as a backup, as you get it too much and you want to keep going sane! =

Yeh I guess you're right - I mean admins were just chosen on their writing skills last time, not really on their activity and commitment and stuff. I think that should change. I'm just a tad worried that if you quit your position, then you'll slowly get bored of kliking and then never make any games - as well as possibly not finish MSD2. I don't want to force you to stay - if you don't want too and hate it so much, then leave. But if you think you can change things for the best, then do it and try to make things better. Maybe you should be made a "head" of the DC like Rikus and Club - then you can monitor and organize admins, and make sure they actually do stuff.

If there is another Admin vote, whether Circy leaves or not because he's obviously incognizant to what he's doing, Don't make it a poll. I've seen who people want for admin, that'd be a shame.

Well... it's really his own choice. It's not like he's going to commit suicide? Whatever he will choose: stay as moderator/admin or not to, is up to him. It's cool to see that the people around here wants him to stay so badly (I don't see why he shouldn't, except for his own thoughts). But If he decides to not remain as a moderator then we shouldn't stop him.

i just think that there is a shortage of admins/moderators vs stupidness going on around the site, i suggest there be a new and responsible (not that circy and the others admins aren't responsible because quite clearly, they are) moderator(s) moderating the site

i remember before when the news posts would show up as mostly circy, but recently, it's actually had quite a variety

i think that it's not only the stupidness that's driving you crazy circy, i think it's the lack of activity around the click community that's causing people to do stupid things, and post stupid comments, whcih is more than likely irritating you, it's like a depression in the community, you jsut gotta wait for it to pass by

No... Really, He's getting kinda old and tired for this?
Isn't? 21 years are pretty much! Most user's PCs just can't take it! I mean, an IBM PC model XT is almost ranged out from being active? Where have you seen a working 21 years old commodor? A working system of Atari from that age? Ghee... Circy! Get a better computer! A new one! I mean... Not that circy got himself antics at home... It's just, The whole invension: The PC, is about that age if I'm not wrong... I can't work on my PC at saturday, I cannot set fire on saturday, or it's go kaput! Someone need to invent a new PC working on water! Then! The new frash PC will be workable for everyone, even on saturday! Yeppie! Even the net system will run on water! PC system getting to old! Maybe then, we will have a better wet DC community! With a replacement to the old PC system! Really! We had enough! Let's have water computers!

Nastyman...

What the F*CK are you talking about?!
Are you comparing Circy to an old IBM computer or what!?

If I were Circy I'd take that comment as an insult. You're telling him that he's old and tired and outdated. man...

Nastyman, did you forget to take your pills this morning? I'm sure you used to be vaguely understandable.

That post was nasty man.

@Peblo, You "got in trouble" because you kept correcting me which is rude. Although i only asked you not to. I don't go out of my way to annoy people with spelling mistakes you know.
Er if thats what you mean.

@Radix, forums are for flaming and n00b bashing too don't forget.
