For once I sort of agree with Noodle on some points! Years ago my mate went vegetarian for some strange reason. I carried on eating bacon, pork chops, scratchings (pork rinds), black pudding, pork pies, belly draught and other goodness.
He used to be as big as me, now he's about 5 foot 10 and i'm six foot 4. Watch the Christmas lectures, our brains expanded (over many, many years of course) due to cooking and eating meat. The huge protein boost out of meat or fish helped our brains develop to what they are today.
Also we have incisor teeth as well as molars, so I conclude we should eat both vegetation (such as sprouts - fibre goodness) as well as meat (omnivores). Also being vegetarian makes your farts wreak, although that could be a bonus.
Anyhow onto more important matters, crispy smokey bacon sandwiches (the British stuff) with fried tomatoes and Heinz tomato ketchup on self cut bakers bread is heaven...
I really don't care for my own health as a result of my choice.
I take comfort in that my lifestyle choice requires no peaceful creatures to be slaughtered on my part. The satisfaction in this is far greater than the 'satisfaction' you obtain when chewing on a corpse.
My skin's glowing thanks to a grease and fat free diet and my body's my temple.
"What is the importance of human lives? Is it their continuing alive for so many years like animals in a menagerie? The value of a man cannot be judged by the number of diseases from which he escapes. The value of a man is in his human qualities: in his character, in his conscience, in the nobility and magnanimity, of his soul. Torturing animals to prolong human life has separated science from the most important thing that life has produced - the human conscience."
"All the arguments to prove man's superiority can not shatter this hard fact: In suffering, the animals are our equals."
"Awareness is bad for the meat business. Conscience is bad for the meat business. Sensitivity to life is bad for the meat business. DENIAL, however, the meat business finds indispensable."
By a route obscure and lonely,
Haunted by ill angels only,
Where an Eidolon, named night,
On a black throne reigns upright,
I have reached these lands but newly
From an ultimate dim Thule
From a wild clime that lieth, sublime,
Out of space
Out of time.
O.k novasoft please explain why it's alright for carnivorous creatures to kill and eat other animals but it's not alright for humans to do the same. I understand we have different methods but the animals suffer all the same.
choosing to eat meat does not make somebody ignorant, so stop ranting and raving about how much better you are than us do to your lifestyle choice. Everyone has made a choice and i'm sticking to mine.
Sometimes I think peoples beliefs about the whole anti-meat business are a cry for attention. So they're different, so they're pure and not a sinner, which meat eater's obviously MUST be by the sound of all this shite. If your argument is only backed up by shit like, "your fucking evil" or "Sensitivity to life is bad for the meat business" then you’re always going to loose, or be a hippy in an algae covered tent, living on hemp lollies. No one listens or reads such bullshit in the end- they just get tired of it. Please, stop trying to change peoples ways of life, or ATTEMPT to make people feel guilty.
I can’t help thinking this thread was created to set the Anti-meat members poetic juices flowing. I know certain people can’t resist a good argument. This topic should be locked... It was to trigger arguments from the word go.
You're a dull minded, clueless, ignorant, selfish bastard.
Yes... Because everyone who cares about the lives of those who cannot speak or fend for themselves does so for attention? Fucking fool. Only your narrow mind could assume such bullshit.
Sensitivity to life IS bad for the meat business. That quote is perfectly true. It applies to people such as you. You are in denial. And IF you are aware of how bad the industry is and yet continue to fund it, you're an idiot beyond doubt.
Do you know the extent of the abuse and torture animals face in the confines of slaughterhouses? Can you even begin to comprehend what it must be like? Every second from the time they are born is pure misery, degredation and hell on earth.
You need to open your eyes boy. Your upper class existence has obviously rose tinted the way you see life.
The worst thing is there seems to be some mockery from you... It's almost as if you think that those who choose not to eat the corpses of our defenceless, fellow creatures is the evil.
You defend the topic with such hostility... I really do not understand that?
Basically, you are for the slaughter of millions of animals. You can't claim to care for animals if you eat them. You hate them. You can't say otherwise.
Oh, and sources were provided earlier providing links to articles and images. I don't just rush in like an argumentative twat like you've done here. You've made a complete fool of yourself. Luckily, it's the internet.
Pull your head out of your arse and your little fantasy world and have a good fucking look at this site:

Oh look! the Vegetable fairy throws yet ANOTHER link my way, and Digital Dreams the "arrogant fucker" does NOT click on the link. Do you think calling people such names will help if your attempting to make a person change a way of life?
And by the way... my upper class existance? WHAT THE FUCK. Because some random told you I live in a large house I MUST be upper-class? My class has fucking NOTHING to do with whether or not I eat fucking meat! Should I be ashamed IF I am upperclass? NO.
