Ok... here's the deal... Im making a map editor for Vollo Voyage - Rain of Chaos. The game has been requested as an mmorpg...

So, to make it easier to add new characters and such to the game it would be nice to be able to load the objects (NPCs, Enemies, etc) from external files... Simply to speed up the creation process and the size of patches...

The easiest would be to be able to load active objects externally.. however that seems impossible.. The alpha channel has one flaw... You can't change animation data (length, speed, looping, etc) from external files... Hope this makes it clearer what I want... Thanks alot for at least trying to come up with Ideas! I relly appreciate it

go into custom animation? As doing all the animations manually via actions (using timers to change frames etc)

Sounds like it's gonna take up quite alot of processor power if I use Alpha objects then.. It's much better with overlays..

Overlays are way faster than active pictures.. And active pictures eats lots of resources when they're large..
