Soon as the main site went down after that Mina announcement I had a little check on the domain availability (good sign if a site's gone like). and bam. it was available for purchase.
I assume it's dead and gone. That's all you can assume with no announcements
Good? I remember posting a review for Commando there and they shot it down, because I said it was 'adequate' they deleted the review and said "Hamish (or whoever it was) worked on this for months"... well boo bloody hoo!
Jimmi I think by good group, he meant a group which had lots of experience and that had been around for some time. Not necessarily a group which makes games only you like (I for one actually liked Commando - obviously that's a matter of opinion).
There are no announcements because seeing the site is down there's nowhere to actually announce it.
The domain expired, and by the time anyone tried to do anything about it cyber squatters had bought it. Which means the only way we are going to get it back is by trying to buy it off them, which I don't think anyone can be bothered doing right now. Only two people there still made games anyway, and Bernie has his own site you can visit.
The only FA games I actually got much enjoyment from were both from Hamish: Commando and Furry. Douglas Circumstance and AGWAK were alright, but it didn't have that much substance. Everything else wasn't really too hot.
Still, FA lived for a very long time. I can post a news article at Klik-Me if you want Hamish, as long as I'm given accurate details.

They sucked large amounts is what they did. Craig J was hopeless.
FAInd are obviously the best; Ben's games, Hamish's few, Gustav's, Tango Strike, hell, even A Game With a Kitty. No arguments. I mean it's not that they're stunningly great, it's that there's no competition.
I used to be a big Virtually Real fan, until I discovered the other good klik groups. Destruction Carnival is still really fun, as well as AttraX, LeapFrog, and Out of the Pit. In the Pit, to be honest, isn't that great: its learning curve is way too high.
Jimmi: they had a few things about Virtually Real on the history page. It's primarily known for Destruction Carnival, which astounded everyone at the time. There's also the whole thing about CraigJ taking over #k&p and ruling it with an iron fist, but I never heard a lot about it from other people.
Lazarus: keep in mind that Dusting Gunn (aka JD) is a huge FAInd fanboy.
Sorry to hear that Hamish, some company did the same thing to the ap-zone.com domain back in the day, to this day I can't get it back. Its like they look what sites are popular and when the domain name expires they just snatch it just so they can get some money out of it. Very annoying and a waste of the domain name.

Yep Mr.Rikus Kras...wasn't that your name back then? but anwyay...that's what they do. It happened to my boss, she had a domain name for her portfolio but it expired without warning and they snatched it. So she tried to negotiate with them...she offered $100 bucks for it. They respond asking $100.000, we all bursted out laughing..so she wrote back saying, how about $101, is that ok? And they cancelled negotiations with her. I mean...seriously, $100.000 for a personal website...im laughing as I am writting this..hahahaha
My favorite has always been Blackeye Software, but mostly because of their wierder games like Diabolika and Quibble Race, not the mainstream ones like ED. Only game I really liked from FAInd was Siege. Damn good game... better than most non-klik game in terms of gameplay.

If FAInd had released all of their planned games (the ninja exploratory platformer from... Gustav I think?, and Skyhammer, for sure. Oh, and Wishes, which was supposed to be like Diablo with keyboard control) I'd say they win. Tango Strike is still pretty schweeeeeeeet though. VReal is the same thing. Naimistath and Exander II.
