Hey  . [Brainwash]Am I the only one who thinks that Sciencetology is the best thing ever? The whole thing about the aliens has be convinced, they have been trying to get me from day one. [/Brainwash]
 Seriously though, what are people's thoughts on this new celebrity cult?

It's not new. L Ron Hubbard (see avatar) founded Scientology in the 1950s.
I've studied up on Hubbard and Scientology, and I have concluded that Scientology is the biggest (and most ingenious) scam ever made.
In essence, Scientology is a business that feeds off the sad people. Much like Jehovah’s Witnesses, they go after people who have just lost a loved one, or someone who is depressed. Like a Catholic Church, Scientologists have confession (called auditing). The main difference is this confession costs about $200.
From what ex-Scientologists have said, the Scientologists use the auditing information as blackmail.
They also are responsible for the deaths of several people (the most famous case is about a lady who escapes from Scientology, goes nuts, crashes her car into a tree, and runs out naked. This lady taken by the scientologist 'doctors'. Later the authorities found that the scientologists starved her to death).
L Ron Hubbard is a con man who worked with Alester Crawly and Jack Parsons. He made up several things about his past (he never served very long in the Military, for example. He tried to bomb the Japanese, but it turns out he was bombing a rock the whole time). His followers claim he was a war hero when he was really dishonorably discharged.

There's some scientology lace right next to my school, like we share a fence. The weirdest thing I've seen them do is put up tents. Who knows what secrets these temporary shelters may hold?
