Ok making few modifications in my Li-Trek engine ( powers Star Trek: Starship Legends ). How do i move my object in a specific direction ( 32 ). Like if my ship is looking at direction 13 then it keeps on moving in that direction , Without using any built in movements.

i did an externally edited version of race car movement .. but if i set the direction of a player by codes , the built in movements gets messed up. Trig , how do i use it?

If you only need 32 directions, then why not just use built in movement?
my built in movements making the object look at direction # 16 .. When a condition is found true the object is supposed to look at direction 32 , and it does but when we try to move it .. then it first jumps back to direction # 16 and then continue its movements
thats why .. not the built in thing

Judging from your post, I take it you don't know what trigonometry is. Learn how to use Sin() and Cos(). I don't know how old you are, but it's quite difficult to understand if you're still young.
Its pretty easy to do a 32-directions movement.
Just use X and Y positions and a couple of counters.
Ive done it,, but i dont have time to explain sorry....
Hey dude, I'd suggest a 360 engine for this game. It'd help quite a bit. If you can find snerlin's example pack, there's a couple of 360 examples in there that are really good.
I never got extensions to work on TGF. I placed them in the gfactory folder, but it couldn't find them. People told me I had to get some new TGF build in order to get them to work, but I couldn't be bothered. I hardly ever use TGF these days anyway.
i thought about doing that .. but instead of following it i posted a message here
Anywayz , that 360 engine stinks .. the controls look totally crap! I'll rather stick with the externally edited built in movements and get rid of such stuff interfering with it!

If you only modify a built in movement and the ship can only move in 32 directions, I will be horribly disappointed in you. That 360 code isn't THAT hard to figure out, you just need to put some effort into it.
Craps, I'm an old man!

It's just a copy paste job with HBK, you should know that.
