Never played Adventure; and from the sounds of it, I'm glad I didn't. Even back in the dark ages it sounds like that game would have pissed me off.
Craps, I'm an old man!

Yeah, it was kinda annoying.
About the cartoon, I made that a while ago, and realized I had it now. Meh.

You're not really going to get much out of an atari 2600.
From what ive read about programming the thing i bet even adventure was a major challenge to get working.
Also the carts were limited to 12k max.

... Adventure was the first game for the 2600. That's not the most you can get out of it. Play Battlezone, that game was decent.

I played adventure a little, not much though. I really liked Jungle Hunt, Pitfall, Mario Bros, Combat, etc. Most of the activision games were awesome.

Did you read my first post Bibin? I used to own battlezone. Also Combat was the first game for the 2600. (I think)
I didn't say it was the most you could get out of it, but getting ANYTHING working was tricky so something like adventure was pushing the machine beyond what it's creators thought possible.
Something like Space invaders seems simple enough but actually the machine can't handle that many objects without some clever coding tricks.
Anyway you misread my post.

I played Jungle Hunt for PC when I was five, and I loved it.
I only got to play one level, though, because this bitchy girl kept kicking me off the computer.
Fine Garbage since 2003.
