My copy of MMF2 (and my copy of MMF1) will not run on Windows Vista for some reason.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I tried that. It's not working for some odd reason. The Loading Screen pops up, and then the whole thing just closes down.

MMF 1 just locks up the computer.

Considering you're running Vista - you're probably running in 64bit? Which is probably the problem?

I'm running Vista (in 32) and they both work fine for me.

I'm running Windows Vista RC1 Build 5600 64bit Edition, and Multimedia Fusion 2 is running perfectly without any glitches at all. It's up to date, and no compatibility mode was used.
Right after Multimedia Fusion 2 is started up, after installing updates and bonus packs:

These screenshots come directly from installing Multimedia Fusion 2, installing the automatic update, and installing the bonus packs.
I'm not having any issues getting it to run, so perhaps you had a sour install, or you're using an older build of Windows Vista. Even then though, Multimedia Fusion 2 ran fine in Beta 2 for me.

I think that's all the evidence we need!

I haven't actually tried Vista yet. It looks increasingly worryingly OSX-like.

You're just jealous Phizzy.. though Vista's nothing special really anyway.

I just like it because of WMP11 But you can get that on XP :\

Windows Media Player 11 looks much better on Windows Vista, but on the flip side... it's performance slips as well. Winamp beats Windows Media Player in the long run anyway.

@Rhys:
Prove it.

@BrandonC:
Yeah I'll agree it's rather CPU consuming but it's better than iTunes now imo, and winamp is ok but ... well I can't really fault it to be honest! I just found it annoying to navigate around my library of 4000+ songs That's where WMP handles things better really.
