Give up, nobody like the ps3 cuz it's expensive, everybody likes the wii cuz it's cheaper, whcih means more people can have it. Sony is fighting a lost battle.
Some of my friends went to Stockholm last wednesday and stood in line for 30(!!) hours. They had to stand with some pretty weird shit in that line, drunk people, flashers and just plain stupid people. They started to count how many people asked them why they were standing in line. They lost count pretty damn fast, but they think it was about 200 or so. IN the end they got Wii's, and we got to try them =
Wii Golf is actually really fun. Can't wait until Mario Golf makes it to Wii. I won't be getting my own until january >,<
reports say all the kids who post in forums that nobody likes the ps3 cuz it's expensive are ashamed to admit they actualy wanted a ps3, but their parents wouldnt get them one, and they cried. I read it.
If you look at the graphics for Fight Night and that other new game by Tony Hawk, the difference in graphical quality is very noticable and the resolution hardly matters since res was never a matter when comparing consoles before this .
But hey, if games are what makes the console best, then the PC's only competition is still the Wii and vice versa. For all I care, PCs are still the best, as you can't play Heroes of Might & Magic or Medieval: Total War or Neverwinter Nights 2 on a console .
Personally, I don't think gaming consoles will ever catch up to anyone's real expectations. I mean, thanks to movies like Shrek, Incredibles, and Happy Feet, I expect my games to look that good, but they're still blocks. Nice water, nice bloom effects, very nice jiggle dynamics but still blocks with textures. Nothing near to what movies have done, except for Warcraft III.
I'd like it if the artists & programmers focused more on making the animations realistic rather than all that focus on shadows.
