Because they charge 60 quid for a WiFi adapter (as standard on UK PS3, DS, PSP and Wii).
Nice timing too. My brothers 360 got the red ring of death this morning. GameStation replaced it though. That makes... 2 out of 3 360 owners locally who have had broken Xboxs! How crap.
Maybe the 360 failures are intentional? Legit consumers can just return it for service, while people with modified consoles will end up with a piece of junk.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
No, they're not intentional; in fact it's so bad that they're launching a redesign next year. I think that may also account for the pictures of the X360 MB with the build in HDMI ports.
But yeah, all they've said is there's a slimline version coming out next year. I wouldn't be surprised if they added the HD DVD drive into the mix though (Built in).
But yeah, they die. Even still, I think the X360 is going to romp up on the PS3.
Bibin: I'd say a fair chunk of microsoft haters don't understand why themselves. The reason was originally to do with their nasty business practices, and sometimes their software design paradigm (user-friendliness over functionality and security). But none of that really applies to the console division, so any kiddies nowadays that are particularly vocal about it are just following the trend.
I fully agree with Joe about Microsuck, Mainly about IE, but in addition to all people who still don't know what's so bad:

Microsuck.com explains it all
As far as I am aware though, that part of Microsoft has nothing to do with the Xbox?
I always thought that a different side/team of Microsoft worked on the Xbox - not the guys who created IE and Windows and stuff? I dunno..
Either way I'm bored of consoles now - I don't really see any point in buying either of them. I don't find playing video games that entertaining anymore. I'd rather watch movies, listen to music, chat to friends AND play video games on my PC
Microsoft have stated over and over that games will not be released on HD-DVD, but I think it's pretty obvious a HD-DVD drive will be built in eventually. Like Sony's strategy with BluRay; MS help get a cheap next gen video player into a lot of homes. Knowing MS they'd probably stick in the redesigned CPU and a HD-DVD and charge the same Premium price.
Oh, a bigger capacity HDD would be nice too. 60 quid for a 20gb (13gb for the user) HDD is just pathetic.
someone double posted, but I'm not pointing fingures at anyone ^^
I like the xox360 but the choices of games are not very good. sports, 3rd person shooter, bad-adventure games, ect. They are good for what they are, but what they are isn't what you really want in the first place.
