Yeah, and what's with them only having green lights. The Sony one has blue. Everyone knows blue light makes a console go super fast! Oh, and somebody told me the 360 has the same processor as a SNES! So all the other consoles beats this 360. And the name!! My god, Were the other 358 versions "japan only" or what? Cus here in Sweden, we only got 2. And it is crap because I don't get HDTV resolution on my pr0n collection on my old TV. And Bill Gates? He must be stoopid because I hear he made the xbox inferior to the genesis on purpose. All in all, all consoles suck. You better stick to your PC playing klik games cuz they can do better 3d!!!!!!!
Its hard to be religious when certain people are never incinerated by bolts of lightning.
I was bashing sony for closing a company down that sells their products.
Not the actual products.
But yeah. The 360 isnt bad, a bit bulky, and some games i've played on it are super gay.
I played sonic and found quite a few bugs in it. Like jump-attacking a spring with sonic; sent me int blackness and then i died.
With shadow i got stuck between some rocks, whilst floating on the water. Couldnt do anything so had to reset.
I partly agree with the second to last sentence of Nioreh's: "All in all, all consoles suck" - The 36 Gaming gen consoles do suck. The older ones had really block graphics, the newer ones have smoother graphics, and the newest ones have the smoothest. but still. They seem to all lack more than a handful of games that have gameplay
I dont think developers know of that word.
If they do, they don't have it properly defined.
The older consoles (mainly Snes, at this point) seemed to have quite a lot of games that were decent in gameplay (mostly the in-depth RPGs) For example, Chrono Trigger, or the FF series, and Zelda. They also had some good adventure games (the first 2 donkey kongs. I didnt like the 3rd).
But because they were cartridge, the gameplay had to end somewhere, sadly. Which was a big downfall for cartridge based systems (that and the fact that Snes games were somewhere in the region of £50-£60 when they first came out)
Even know, when I look in Gamestation. I see secret of mana sitting there with a price tag of £50
Ergo I conclude: Stay away from console gaming, or PC gaming. It is way too expensive, and for the latter you need a really good computer for the newer stuff.
The only PC game I play is StepMania.
(Playing ROMS of games passed doesn't count )
I sold on my 360 to my brother. Not good enough really. I'll buy one again once...
-A bloody brilliant game is launched. Something original (ie. no Pinata or GoW) would be nice.
-They stick in a better DVD drive. It's too loud compared to the HD-DVD drive.
-Built in WiFi. I need it, I'm not prepared to pay £60 for it. A £70 DS has built in WiFi for christs sake.
-Better build quality. Out of the 4 Xbox 360 users I know, 2 have had to get replacements. I don't care about warranties or anything like that, I just want the peace of mind that it isn't going to fall apart. Think I've been spoiled by Nintendos near flawless build quality.
-Lower price. Do away with the crappy Core model and bring the Premium down to £200.
I'd offer some crit on the Wii but hey, you can't get hold of them in the UK at all. Part of me wishes Nintendo fucked up the Wii somehow so there would actually be shelf stock.
Wii is ossum shit. I kinda wish the menu was customizable with colours etc, but maybe they'll do that later on, with them updating the software and crap? Meh.
Oh yeah I suppose I should say XBOX 360 sucks because I don't own one. Nor would I want to.
I don't think the 360 is bad; I don't think it's that great either. It's a good console, with more variety than the PS3, but it doesn't have much more than the Xbox had before it, other than graphics and processor speed.
360 is made by Microsuck, Bad enough? No? So it also go Blue Screen of Death which I believe comes often thanks to the "wonderful" author.
I like Wii and Nintendo, But Sony got good stuff too. ( I remember playing some fun games on my cousin's PS1 ) Microsuck are simply evil (and for all interested - I got Ubuntu Linux and it runs MMF2 and MMF2 apps )
They have the monopoly of the market, and they realise over-priced products that are full of bugs. Then they release a few updates, and then a new version of the program which is full of bugs. Then they release a few updates, new version etc.
Oh. And they made Internet Explorer, THE program for spyware/adware/virus infections.
Because they charge 60 quid for a WiFi adapter (as standard on UK PS3, DS, PSP and Wii).
Nice timing too. My brothers 360 got the red ring of death this morning. GameStation replaced it though. That makes... 2 out of 3 360 owners locally who have had broken Xboxs! How crap.
Maybe the 360 failures are intentional? Legit consumers can just return it for service, while people with modified consoles will end up with a piece of junk.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
No, they're not intentional; in fact it's so bad that they're launching a redesign next year. I think that may also account for the pictures of the X360 MB with the build in HDMI ports.
But yeah, all they've said is there's a slimline version coming out next year. I wouldn't be surprised if they added the HD DVD drive into the mix though (Built in).
But yeah, they die. Even still, I think the X360 is going to romp up on the PS3.
Bibin: I'd say a fair chunk of microsoft haters don't understand why themselves. The reason was originally to do with their nasty business practices, and sometimes their software design paradigm (user-friendliness over functionality and security). But none of that really applies to the console division, so any kiddies nowadays that are particularly vocal about it are just following the trend.
I fully agree with Joe about Microsuck, Mainly about IE, but in addition to all people who still don't know what's so bad:
http://microsuck.com/content/whatsbad.shtml
Microsuck.com explains it all
As far as I am aware though, that part of Microsoft has nothing to do with the Xbox?
I always thought that a different side/team of Microsoft worked on the Xbox - not the guys who created IE and Windows and stuff? I dunno..
Either way I'm bored of consoles now - I don't really see any point in buying either of them. I don't find playing video games that entertaining anymore. I'd rather watch movies, listen to music, chat to friends AND play video games on my PC
Microsoft have stated over and over that games will not be released on HD-DVD, but I think it's pretty obvious a HD-DVD drive will be built in eventually. Like Sony's strategy with BluRay; MS help get a cheap next gen video player into a lot of homes. Knowing MS they'd probably stick in the redesigned CPU and a HD-DVD and charge the same Premium price.
Oh, a bigger capacity HDD would be nice too. 60 quid for a 20gb (13gb for the user) HDD is just pathetic.
someone double posted, but I'm not pointing fingures at anyone ^^
I like the xox360 but the choices of games are not very good. sports, 3rd person shooter, bad-adventure games, ect. They are good for what they are, but what they are isn't what you really want in the first place.
I feel that way about all three systems at the moment. 360 is probably going to get more of the same, PS3 is an unknown factor assuming it doesn't crash and burn horribly like it probably will, and the Wii releases are in the same boat as the 1st-gen DS release list. I'll give it another six months before I consider buying anything.
same here, i have no intention of buying any of the new consoles yet. There isn't actually one game that I have seen that would sway my decision in any of thew consoles favours.

Just wait until Banjo Kazooie 3 comes out (and I took the liberty of fixing a typo)
