As the title says. In the past couple of days now Ive seen alot of clone-games, none with core-originality? What's with that? Where did the originality go?
Meh they still may be good though, we'll have to wait and see.

Nobody has to make something original for originality's sake.
Getting inspiration from the greats is a good start towards making a game people will like.
Besides how many things have not been done by someone else before? Not many.

It could be. I just hope it doesn't become a game centred around a gimmick like that PoP game. I find time controls to be similar to open ended worlds, it's a nice feature but doesn't make up for lack of content or overall gameplay.

I think it's okay to do stuff that has been done before, like marioesque platformers or tetrisish puzzle games, but total clones, that even have the same vibe and gfx style are the same to me as fangames. I don't like fangames.

I don't care when good games are cloned cuz that means it will be good games as well.
I just think most people here are envyous when people make good clones so they go around saying to be original but at least my game is both good and original.

I guess you missed that one Adam -_- I know who Jango Fett is, I mentioned his name. His son Boba takes his place in Episode III after Jango was decapitated by (I think it was) Mace Windu in Epsidoe II.
I meant what game does Jango represent . So shush -_-

No, then I would have said:
"Jango Fett (66 – 22 BBY) is a fictional character from the Star Wars universe whose first cinematic appearance was in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, in which he was played by Temuera Morrison. The name is thought to have been inspired by several sources: "Jango" from Django, since both Jango Fett and Boba Fett's profession as bounty hunters appears to be a reference to Spaghetti Westerns, and "Fett" from George Lucas' revisiting the name "Bob Falfa" (which turned into Boba Fett) from his earlier film American Graffiti.
Jango Fett's son is his clone Boba Fett, made famous in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Both father and son served as bounty hunters; the latter part of Jango's life was spent serving political figures as Count Dooku, and Darth Sidious, indirectly aiding the rise of the Empire... actually "
Like that

I thought my game "Jambuster" that i made bloody ages ago was semi-original . But it's got 8 million bugs and looks crap. A re-make will be done when i can be arsed, however when i "get into" clicking i never tend to stay interested in it long enough to actually make anything

it doesn't matter so long as people enjoy playing the game.
In fact sometimes people make games just for the fun of making it, not so much for others' enjoyment.
But so long as it's fun, who cares if it's original?
