Ok any others here keep hamsters? In the UK they're pretty much commonly kept as student pets nowadays, but anyway. This is one of mine Ive only just managed to tame after 2 years!!! Originally she was named Die Hard, after she survived a train journey from Leeds to my local area Im so excited. So yeah, anyone else got hamsters?
My Hamster died at 8 months. Little piece of shit would bite my hand whenever I fed her. My girlfriend was bitten by the hamster, and she chucked it against the wall of the cage to get rid of it.
It died the day after.

On a silly note, my friend's hamster fell into the heater and was ripped in half.
Fine Garbage since 2003.

Lool, yeah I had a hamster once called Felix... it got a growth on its head though or something and died, but I wasn't too bothered at the time because it'd only ever bite me with its 2 mank bright yellow teeth that it'd spend all day sharpening, before hand.
This girl I know once dropped it down the stairs when it bit her though and it landed near the bottom straight into my mums' handbag, which was funny It lived for about 4 and a bit years too.
@Noodle: Why could you say that for any of Adam's posts? And if so, that'd mean that both you, phizzy and I are morons as well, right? Both your and Phizzy's comments are just to create fuzz. Else you wouldn't bother to comment on this thread at all, am I right?
we used to have hamsters but they were the type you couldn't keep together... which ones can you put together? I'd love a little hamster colony in the Study or somewhere.
You can usually keep dwarve hamsters together, I only keep them . I tried the normal ones (syrian)the other year and they really are evil when theyre not tamed.
Having said this my brothers rabbit bit right through his fiancé's finger the other day
Ive wanted to get a pet for a while. A hamster seems like a good choice except i have no room, and they're nocturnal which is no fun at all. I like to sleep at night.
I've owned four hamsters in my lifetime, not one of them ever bit me or showed aggression towards me. They've all bitten my brother, mum and dad, however.
Duncan, they're not handled until you buy one so you have to make the hamster used to being picked up, also with chinese dwarf hamsters if you dont handle them for like 2 weeks they revert back to their evil biting mode, even though they hardly bite anyway.

All Chinese dwarves do that.

Yeah they do for some reason, probably because they lose the memory of being handled etc. I suppose? Like they're on unfamiliar ground each time every fortnight, hehe.
Strange creatures. I don't have any pets now. I'm not going through losing one again -_-
