Can you resize an active object with an event?

In MMF2, yes.
In MMF, only when you use the picture objects.
Else: no.

Aha this news is most fortunate.

Yep I'm using MMF2... How can it be done?

Edit: Oh, I see it now - For anyone who wants to know:

When this even happens> Active Object 1 -- Scale /Angle -- Set Scale. Then specify a value. (2.0 is double size etc.) And finally the quality from either 0 or 1 (1 adds anti-aliasing while 0 adds none)

Wahey!

The antialiasing it adds tends to be horrible and slows it down a lot more so it's best to use 0 quality.

Another Resizing question now I'm affraid. In TGF you could resize any object by simply inputting a percentage. I've noticed that this option appears to have vanished in MMF2. Please tell me I just didn't quite see it right away.

You mean in the frame editor? If I'm not mistaken you can add the % character to the resize docked panel, but I'm not sure about that.

MMF1.5 had could calculate expressions in x/y/width/height such as "32+64/(64-16)". It was very useful and I miss it, now I have to open calculator for complex calculations, copy, close, paste. <_<
