... questions, but first I'd like some assurances that I won't be laughed out of the forum!

Seeing as that is likely not possible, I'll just stick my neck out there anyhow.

How do I load items from .mfa and .gam files (for example) into my library? Yes, we are starting very basic here! {Btw, I have TGF2 right now, but am planning to get MMF2.) (ie., someone has a cool object in their abandonware game and they have released the .mfa and .gam and told us to pilfer away and I decide I'd like to pilfer...)

Thanks for any and all help!

Open the game, copy the objects you want and paste them into your library file. Do make sure both files are opened in the same instance of TGF2, or it might not work.

Umm! DaVince's way didn't work? Are you sure? If you open The application you want the objects in, then open the app you want to get the objects from on top of that, it should appear in the Workspace Toolbar. You can expand and retract the lists and simply drag 'n drop the objects of your choice from there. At least thats how it works in MMF2, I'd imagine it's the same for TGF2. Hope this helps

In regular TGF theres a "Pick an object from a game" function under objects menu, I don't know if TGF2 has this. Then you can simply browse for the .MFA or .GAM or whatever file and open it inside of your library, and directly extract the items (minus their related code)

I tried DaVinces way, and it did work, I have tgf2. I just dragged the object from the
second application to a frame.

Right... okay. I didn't explain my question well enough. My bad. I don't actually want to import the assets into a frame. I want, instead, to import them into my library. In other words, say I want to take 3 cool graphics from 3 different abandonware games, but not use them at the moment... just import them into my library? Can that be done?

Yarr, as far as I know, the built-in libraries are constant; you can't alter them, really. Simply building your own library app does the trick, righto.

I just don't find them useful really... I usually have any object i need within a few clicks, and i don't like having to add to them when i make new objects.

Oh and I hope Phizzy accepts that'd be awesome .
