I know some people are gonna see this as an attention seeking "I am leaving unless persuaded not to" thread, but I don't think it is. I do not want any drama, I just wanna say I am not gonna be around much because that's better for this community.
I've been visiting this site a lot since august 2002 and it's been great fun till about a year ago. Since then it has been more of a place where I am fighting retards, squares and cocky people. Some dudes I really liked decided to hate me for whatever reason and now, combined with a pretty heavy job and growing tired of the way this place is handled, it just is no fun anymore. You can say whatever you want about the internet, but people you are friendly with turning against you is not fun in any way. So instead of having fights with people I will retreat. I might pop by every now and then or submit a game (I am never gonna give up clicking), but you aren't gonna see me here on the boards much.
Just wanted to say that in case people would start to wonder. Bye and thanks for the nice times.
Sorry to hear you don't want to come here as often - I sort of saw it coming but I was hoping it could be sorted out.
Obviously you're one of the longest 'serving' members here so it's sad to see you're 'sort of leaving', though I'm glad you might still be popping on now and again.
I'll simply say that I don't want you to leave, but it's your choice I guess (and I do understand your reasons). Hope you change your mind and try to help sort the problems out, even though there is probably no motivation to do so.
I also reduced my visits quite a bit for pretty much the same reasons. I come back sometimes and check out the latest stuff, but I'm not here a lot. It just isn't the same anymore. Plus, any interesting topic on the boards gets locked before I get there. Oh well, we're pretty much the same era Hayo, remember the good times and take it easy dude.

sorry to see you partly go hayo, i have always respected you so its sad to see ya leave the site, be sure to keep checking in, and when you feel the time is right be sure to jump back into the dc-forums at any time, we are not going to let this place go anytime soon, if ever if i have anything to do with it

I left for about a year not too long ago. I didn't say anything about leaving. I just left. Not a word. I was pretty much sicking of visiting TDC for a while because I was pretty much convinced a year ago that it was dying. There weren't many interesting downloads and discussions on the boards were all bleh. I instead moved to the Teatons boards until the host went down indefinitely.

I've been here a long time myself really, but mostly just to download junk ... I was away doing other things for years, and noone missed me. I guess cause I don't post much, and never submitted anything to the site. But time is a funny thing ... it runs in circles.
People come and go. I feel no sorrow for this. Even death is just another link in an endless chain of an endless strand of dna, within another and another and another.
On a side note .. Did you guys know that I was right again ? .. The Universe IS Breathing ! I was watching the History channel a while ago and they were proving me right with their teams of scientists. I'm lovin' it. We are the germs and microscopic bacteria of the Universe.

I know how you feel pixelthief, I've been around well before TD I left but I dont remember having a "Im leaving topic" or anything. just ran out of time to make games and so dissappeared checking in once or twice every 6 months maybe when i was bored but I'm finally working on a game now that I finally bought a new PC that runs smooth haha!
So all I'm saying is that you dont need to leave, just become more inactive until you are forgotten then you can make games and do what you want in peace!
