None of them are that great. Astro Dude demo was my favorite and now it's gone.
I don't know, I haven't played many Click games that have REALLY captivated me in a while.
I really liked the presentation of Lyle in Cube Sector and it was a lot of fun. It was an original idea that wasn't boring, a lot of games that are "Well at least it's not more shootan and fightan games" don't seem to find much to do in place of those things, far too many Knytt Stories wannabes. I liked that Lyle had a retro style but wasn't just a copy of another retro game.

Serously, i cannot decide - there are so many games on TDC that i love, like the charming Cliffall, the action-packed Bonesaw, Gungirl its zombie-splatting fun and the polished looking Solar Defence - all great examples of Klik games.
But i remember i made a game about 10 years ago called DeathMatch Arena 2; a very crude and simple looking four-player deathmatch game viewed from above. It had just 2 stages to play on and only one weapon. Despite this though, a friend of mine used to invite me and 2 other guys over to his place every lunchtime at college to play games, and we'd play this two-staged deathmatch game everyday for about 2 months. The sense of achievement i got from making this exceptionally fun and popular multiplayer game was enormous! And to top it all he had an N64 and Goldeneye at his place too, which during this two months never got a look in!
That's why - 10 years later - i am still messing around with the idea of a top-down multiplayer deathmatch game, hence why my project R.P.G. was born! Friends of mine are still surprised at how much fun R.P.G. is, despite the better looking multiplayer games out there like COD4 and Halo 3 - the simplicity is it's appeal!
Personally, I loved That Night Before. Yet overall, I would probably say either Noitu Love 2 or Eternal Daughter. Although I thought Knytt and Knytt Stories was very good too.

Are you kidding me? Yeah, it's got a fairly unique graphical style, but gameplay-wise it's basically a Metroid clone. Don't get me wrong though, I love that game, it's probably my favourite klik game to date.
Also, I'm hesitant to say this out loud, because I'm afraid the rest of the community might lynch me, but am I the only one who doesn't think Noitu Love 2 is the second coming of christ?

Axel, it's doesn't have Metroid gameplay at all. The graphics, and only some of them, look like something you'd see in that game sure, but for the actual gameplay no way. Lyle's all about kicking cubes, lifting and throwing them around and even throwing them straight downwards to get a height boost (brilliant IMO). Lyle has more in common with Super Mario Brothers 2 (US) than Metroid.
Noitu Love 2 was cool, and he obviously put tons of work into it and it's smooth as hell, but I agree with you. I think there maybe is just too many of the same type of those normal bad guys to beat on (I think they're green IIRC). Plus it takes way too many hits to kill these lowly bastards. I like the environment changes like the floor in the 2nd level, and of course the huge tank / ship boss goes without saying. I had much more fun with Lyle personally.

"To be a true ninja you must first pick the most stealthy of our assorted combat suits. Might I suggest the bright neon orange?"
DXF Games, coming next: Hasslevania 2- This Space for Rent!
Noitu Love suffered from being way too repetitive. It was well presented but it just wasn't worth coming back to for me after a certain point. It's a shame. You really do need to add in a lot of gimmicks and possibly storyline to hold my attention.

I wasn't keen on NL2, it was fun to play on the first go but nothing brought me back for another play through. Where games like Aquaria, Lyle, Ainevoltas, Knytt and co have replayability in the forms of collectables, more fun unlockables and alternate paths I didn't find NL2 to have anything like this. A few stolen ideas from Metal Slug (the prisoners) and maybe the introduction of weapons could have expanded the game. And I know what you mean, some games you feel you can't give an honest opinion about without being hounded I also didn't like Lyle too much.
My fave click game is still Alex Adventure. Atmosphere and gameplay - you CAN have them both!
Final Vision was awesome, though I HATE YOU for the non-existing secret area past Narshe...
Eternal Daughter is an amazing feat, but it's impossibly hard and has an evil control...
Knytt and Knytt stories are two great games, I love the atmospheric exploration and they have an excellent control! The downside is the lack of "carrots" for the exploration. If they contained enemies whom you could incapacitate in some way, weapons and power up's would have been great "carrots"! Now once you've found the upgrades you really don't want to explore anymore since there really isn't anything to find, that's a shame...
And also Cerberus! That's an excellent game!
Shima bros is an old but great game too, it's too short though!
