Aw we sold on our Spectrum stuff. Last game I got for it was New Zealand Story when my sis was born almost 16 years ago. So no tapes left for us.
You don't need a Wii to get onto the shop, you can basically "buy" VC games and other little things with stars. The little gifts are usually rubbish, which include ringtones. Urgh.

That's not fair!
It's surprised.. I didn't know this wasn't available to American residents. I can only assume that it's up to each regional Nintendo office to decide what kind of offers to run. It's usually us Brits who are jealous of the treatment US customers get from gaming companies! Nintendo will probably realise their mistake soon and offer UK residents "Triforce Teabags" for 3000 stars instead.
So, what's Nintendo Power? Would I be right in thinking that it's just some brand propaganda magazine in which no game receives less than 9 coins/mushrooms/wiimotes out of 10? Personally, I wouldn't put any stock in gaming magazine these days, much less one that caters to a particular brand, much less one that's delivered to you by the brand's company! But hey, I guess it's free, and it's nice to get things in the mail that aren't bills.
If it's any further consolation, you have to trade in a hell of a lot of "Club Nintendo" stars to accumulate enough Shopping Channel points for a VC game. I had to cash in points from 6 Wii games and 2 DS games to get one NES VC game. That's around $7 back for spending over $400.
Lol, are Triforce tea bags the pyramid-shaped ones or am I thinking too much about it? Also, I have a couple of American Nintendo games, and yeah, the piece of paper inside is a magazine subscription form...
Oh wait I just thought of Zelda and the Triforce, never mind
The reward stars are good for topping up your Shopping Channel points by small amounts. I've only ever seen Wii Points cards in shops for 1000 or 2000 points, and that sometimes doesn't break down nicely into, for example, 2 SNES games and a NES game. On the Nintendo Club website you can buy 100 and 300 points, so it's good for bumping up your points a wee bit to buy one more VC game.
Nintendo Power has Reviews, game guids etc... I didn't subcribe to it, but it keeps getting sent to my house for some reason. I think its cause they screwed up my acount at Game Crazy (a used game shop).
