Watched all of the 360 conference.
There wasn't really any big news today except for the FF13 news at the end (huge blow for Sony really - doubt they'll be able to match that tommorrow). GEoW2 looked awesome, Fable 2 looked awesome and Fallout 3 looked awesome. Other than that, the avatars are clear copies of Miis (even the faces are completely 2D and look exactly like the Mii faces), and they also announced their Singstar and EyeToy rivals.
Excluding the new Wii controller add-on, I can't see any huge announcements from Nintendo tommorrow. I think Sony will have a few small surprises, but nothing anywhere near as big as the FF13 news we got today. Can't wait to watch the other two conferences tommorrow though. If you want to watch them, head over to ign.com for a lagless HD feed.
Well I suppose the controller add-on is sort of a big announcement. But they made that today.
The reason I don't think they'll make any MEGATON announcements is because they don't need too - Wii is selling at launch price still, they've just released Wii Fit. Please do expand on what big news you expect tommorrow
/Can also see big things happening from Nintendo tomorrow. I know Apple have let news bits out before shows since they have a lot to fit in, and didn't Nintendo also announce the Wii name days before E3 a couple of years back? Probably a lot to get through! They were banging on about how they weren't happy with their last gen collaborations and also "core audiences" so I'm guessing-
F-Zero sequel, not partnered with Sega.
New Lylat Wars, not partnered with Namco.
Animal Crossing, but we know this.
New Zelda announced, place blows apart. New setting compared to previous ye olde England games.
Kid Icarus.
Wii Sports 2, bundled with that new 1:1 enhancer thing. I'm actually hoping they pull a Sony and simply add it into the current controller.

You do actually make some good points. I guess with the announcement for the add-on, they will probably have a few games that support it.
I also heard the TDC game will be in need of a new artist
What, because I said I didn't expect a MEGATON from Nintendo? Get a life
When I first saw that Nintendog in the Smash bros trailer I was all excited (sad I know ), then it jumped up during a fight the other day and I was so enraged I find it hard enough focusing on which character is mine >_<

Yeah, I think it's really lame to just mimick Nintendo and Sony to attract casual gamers. Come up with something new instead.

I think it really sucks that Microsoft is dropping what they had innovated for what their rivals are doing. I could come up with a much better interface for the dashboard that would be easy for casuals to understand. And it'd look like something new and original instead of something off of iTunes.
At that point in the live stream I wanted to just smash my Xbox and go buy a PS3.
I hope that Nintendo takes on Microsoft with a law suit, and they win... because this abomination we see before us is just pathetic. It completely destroys the entire atmosphere Xbox 360 had. Same with the new dashboard, it looks lazy, it looks empty, has no color what so ever, and it's just all around shitty. I love the blades and I hope to hell this isn't the future. I mean if enough people truly hate this, you can't expect them to keep it, can you?
Sorry if this is all really negative, but all of that truly disappointed me. I can't wait to get my hands on some of these new games, and what better way to kick start E3 then to find out that FF XXIII is coming to Xbox 360! Major slap on the wrist to all PS3 fanboys.
Yea the new dashboard looks like a plain old media centre. And I don't know why but the avatars bodies look fully naff. It's like you can tell it's MS style 3D with the wibbly wobbly limbs. Annoying when they have stylised faces but bottom of the barrel bodies.
Just to let everyone know, you can also get the feed for both Nintendo's and Sony's conference at ign.com. The feed is HD, and suffered no breakdown even on my crappy internet connection
The Nintendo conference is at 5pm BST, and the Sony conference is at 7.30pm BST.
YAYAYAYAYAY! E3E3E3!! Am I the only one extremely excited about 1:1 wii control?? Not only does this mean lightsaber games, but a ton more; and hopefully third party support for wii will step up! I'm not even going to try to list all of the games I'd like to see.

Doesn't it do what the Wii was supposed to do from the start?
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
Yes but now it does for real! Actually, it was never supposed to have 1:1, but it's the next logical step. It would have been nice to have it from the start. I wonder how it would've played out if it had...
You can go to the city and see Gracie's store, Harriet's beauty salon, the Happy Room Academy, and an Auction Hall. It also has a new WiiSpeak feature that functions as a community microphone so everyone in the room can talk to everyone in the other room. You can send letters to cell phones, computers, Wiis, and other Animal Crossing players with or without pictures, and you can play as Miis!
Animal Crossing looks good - but out of everything on show, I think I want to try the sword fighting with Wii Motion Plus the most. And I pray that a Star Wars game comes out that uses Wii Motion Plus!
Pretty dissapointing conference overall though - they talked about sales and figures for about 25 minutes, and games for the other 35-40 minutes. Though like I said above, they never needed to give a good conference anyway as we all know - Wii Sports Resort, Animal Crossing, Pokemon and Wii Music will all sell out on release day. And I agree, that woman has to go!
Also GTA DS? Could be good. Hopefully they'll focus on gameplay and making it better than 4
And we know how well you're doing Nintendo, FFS ---.---
^ And hopefully some Nintendo PR people will find out what a rubbish show it was and get the higher ups to drop info about a new Zelda. A new (console) Zelda would have cleaned up E3.
Animal Crossing looks really exciting, Wii Music & Sports Resort looks ok too, I'll probably get those. Overall I'm a little dissapointed with what Ninty had to offer. Still no say on the Kirby games on Wii and DS. Thought they would have at least mentioned them, I mean they've said nothing for ages now :/
Gah they're all saying stupid things this year. Sony's "180 games coming to PS2 this year" isn't something to celebrate (especially when PS3's here can't play them!), they should be coming out for PS3! Ah well. Silly PR people.
Sony's conference was pretty dissapointing too - no real huge surprises, though the video download and rental service is pretty cool. God of War 3 trailer was nice, and MAG looked interesting. Other than that, just videos of games we already knew about or have already seen. And I agree with James, though I guess they want to milk the PS2 for every penny they can get before it dies.

The problem is. The PS3 is F...ING expensive. Look at 360 and PS3 on Amazon
360 Arcade: £149
Wii: £179 (overpriced IMO but still cheaper)
360 Premium: £189
Playstation 3: £289
A £100 difference between the PS3 and the Premium 360 model. And that still leaves you with no backwards compatibility. Drop PS2 support, and the PS2 owners will most likely move on to Wii and 360, not the PS3. So they gotta keep the PS2 owners "happy" with their console, until they can make the PS3 cheap enough to compete with the 360 and Wii, hopefully with backwards compatibility back in.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
I'd have bought my own PS3 if they had PS2 compatibility /fact
But it's silly to bang on about a system when you have a brand shiny new one out. If more PS3's were in homes and it was easier/cheaper to develop for that maybe they'd be talking about 180 new games extra for the PS3 this year instead.
Really disappointed with the lack of PSP news and updates. Okay we have LocoRoco 2 out soon, I shall love that to bits. But the system is missing out on so much. Add POP3 email support, steal DaX's idea for saving game states, announce more and better games, trophies. Give us current owners something new!
It was rather disappointing. I really like what they did show, but it wasn't enough! I had a long list of stuff I expected to see. O_o Boy was I wrong. Who knows, maybe we'll see something new before it's all over...
Ooh... IGN has a whole bunch of articles saying Miyamoto practically confirmed Pikmin Wii, Galaxy sequel, and New Super Mario Brothers 2... and a new Zelda Wii!
Naturally I think I'm more bias towards 360 because I have one, and don't have the money to get any other console. I will admit though, all 3 press conferences were disappointing, and especially Microsoft's, because they spent most of the time claiming they were appealing the casual gamers, and at the same time, bragging about how they were destroying the 360's atmosphere to appeal to just that, appeal to them.
I don't know, I mean I don't have a major problem with Microsoft in general, borrowing idea's from other companies is normal, but when Microsoft walks into a room full of one hundred dollar bills and steals a dollar bill instead, then draws a smile face on it with magic marker... I seriously can't help but to wonder what's going on in their head. If you're going to steal an idea, at least make it a good one... and try to make it at hell of a lot less obvious.
Theres nothing wrong with Sony supporting their PS2, but when they brag about how it's still doing better then PS3, something about that just feels wrong. And then they brag about how BluRay won the format war because it was "better", when in reality, it won because Sony bought it out. The HD-DVD held less space, but it was cheaper and faster. It would've won hands down if Sony didn't interfere.
All and all though, I'm looking forward to Fall Out 3 and Halo Wars.
We all knew it would happen. Nintendo would've kicked proverbial butt if they'd announced the first-party games they have in development. I really don't understand why they didn't, it makes sense. Kid Icarus, Super Mario Galaxy 2, the next Zelda, Warioware balance board, the next and hopefully better mario party, the list goes on and on! It's puzzling.
It had better not be a direct sequel to Galaxy. Sure it's possibly the most fun singleplayer game ever and that but I'd like another original concept (even though it was lifted from Yoshi's Island). So long as they get the same musicians and orchestra back for it then I'll be chuffed

You'd rather have Super Mario Sunshine 2?
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
I loved super mario sunshine, I don't understand why everyone hated it so much. I'd be fine with a super mario galaxy sequel, I loved the first one, but was sad when there were no more levels. They could come up with all kinds of new galaxy ideas...
Same here. I find myself digging it out again every once in a while. Same with Double dash, I have no clue why people didn't like that game... The levels in Mario Sunshine were fun and big. While I liked Galaxy ALOT and it was better than sunshine, I missed having the wide open levels sometimes.
Sunshine was okay. Only game last gen to put a smile on my face (first level where you slide down the hill). It was just the fludd thing, kinda took away from the raw platformer that is Mario.
I wouldn't mind a Paper Metroid or Paper Zelda either.
^ Sort of. Most Galaxy levels were linear (not all) and by the same account most Mario 64 levels were non-linear. Kinda miss how jumping into pictures would effect some levels.
Don't know which style I prefer. Galaxy reminded me loads of Mario Bros 3 where Mario 64 was something totally new.
