Yeah i know , but currently i dont have time and enough nerves to make a game, i will continue slowly on breach of madness, but besides that, i m really interested in making some gfx, without having to do sounds and coding and everything else.
I have a project going on at the moment, I'm doing the basic tiles and I have someone "enriching" the scenes, but he's pretty busy.
I'm not sure if we'll be able to mix 3 graphic styles, but if you're interested I can send you later some screenshots and further information later.
I could use some custom-made characters and some backgrounds for a beat-em-up style game I plan to make.
I'm currently working on a 2.5d platforming engine, but if I can't get the platforming right, I can easily make a regular 2.5d without platforms. King of Dragons for SNES and the Arcade is one of my all time favorite games and it doesn't have a single platform in it, just the main ground.
Here's what I want, if you really want something to work on: Walk, Run, Idle, Jump, Attack, and Jump Attack animations for All characters. I'll need a Knight and a Wizard to start with. Other characters could be almost anything, but here are some suggestions:
Sorceress, Dwarf, Archer/Rogue, Thief/Assassin, Barbarian, Leprechaun (hey, why not?), Vampire, Demon, Angel, Druid, Troll, Warlock, Gargoyle, Orc, Pets like Familiars/Drakes/Hawks, beasts to ride on in addition to horse like those dragon-like things in GoldenAxe, or whatever you think would be good to make.
Knight and maybe some of the other characters will have a horse that he can ride and dismount from along with horses abilities of jumping, hoof stomping, kicking backwards, running / walking, and turning in the other direction, so animations for all that will eventually be needed but don't worry about those until the basic stuff is accomplished.
Even if you just made a few characters in a nice style I'd be happy, I say Knight and Wizard because most medieval type beat-em-ups have those. If you think Barbarian and Sorceress or some other choice would be better, that's fine too, as long as it doesn't veer too far off the beaten track.
Hope you choose this to work on. Thanks for reading!
Blood of the Ancient One, Seen only as Shadow, Faster than Lightning, Fierce as the Greatest Dragon, Nearly Invisible, Floating in a Dream, Entered through the Demon Door, Destroyer of Evil in a Realm with a Red Sky Scarred, Who could I be ?
Clever.. putting all your games on a single page! I'd be looking forward to some of them. I need a graphics artist for my game, but not right now.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
This is a little bit off-topic, but Don - I downloaded your game "Breach of madness" in the project section to check the graphics out and had some pretty bad problems:
*forced fullscreen (messed up toolbars and just hung)
*changed contrast/brighteness of windows permanantly. (even after I closed the game)
*Game froze on title screen - took a few mins to close.
*"needs folder to be placed at c:\" ? (even after I tried this, I had same problems - and now can barely see my screen from the second contrast change)
You need to redo your ini code so that it can read from any position and not just "C:\":
Appdrive$+Appdir$+ (then the ini name)is the way.
You may want to check it out on other machines.
edit: ok, I went into the properties of the EXE and disabled "visual themes" and ran the exe again - it worked this time and I was able to play the game. Contrast has gone back to how my windows was before now too, after exiting.
