My first Klik game I ever made (And actually finished ) was "X". I was so proud of myself for making that game. I kinda still am. Tho I'd never post it here- I used pre-fab back then! (Shock horror!) Nonetheless I'm proud of myself.

Here's how I started X...

Well, I was fiddling round one day on TGF and I decided to randomly start drawing a Ninja. Once it was finished it was time to give it a name. I couldn't think of anything better than X, so I stuck with it.

It was kinda weird. I just started making a game around this one little Ninja character and as months went by I was slowly completing X, and strangly, enjoying making it. I finally finished it in 12/15/06. I don't remember when I started it tho. Sadly, I saved over the game file by accident, the same day I finished it.

Last year I discovered The files weren't lost after all, and I could still work on the game if need be.

It's quite interesting as a story but it's hardly epic.

Go on, describe your first Klik game the best you can! Better yet, post it if possible!

Wow now that i look back i sure made lots of games in my knp/cnc days

My first one: The New Adventures of Romeo! (lol, one of the most frustrating games ever according to my brother)

Followed by Amazing Racing (pretty darn cool but lost)

And then since i always had to type all my previous games in the end credits i remember most of them:

Jim the Penguin
Shoot
Jumper
Last Power ( I think it was called )

Locked 1, Locked 2, Locked 3, Locked 4, Locked 5, Locked 6 and Locked 7 (lol)
Eggit 1, Eggit 2, Eggit Gold, Dragons Tail, Shoot 2, Secret of the lost statue 1 and 2.
zoz, Dc-Ninja anddd thats it i think i prob missed one or 2

Still workin on a new game but progress is slow but its goin

First completed Klik game from me was Space Commander 2, the sequel to a Speccy game i made a few months before. I finished it around 1997 whilst i was still at college and i used good old Klick 'n' Play. Another sequel was planned (Space Commander 3) and started but never completed. Next came DeathMatch Arena (completed), then DMA 2 (completed), then DMA 3 was started (and scrapped), then another top/down shooter called Maim was started (and abandoned!).

Then i got into a serious relationship and everything went onto the back-burner, though i still dabbled with MMF1 with a few small games; one called Sheep (completed) where you had to kill all sheep over 9 levels and another platformer (completed) staring me and my (then) girlfriend - pass me the sick bucket!

Then i finished with her and made a few games including Tennis 2002 (completed) and the demo for Metal Militia (abandoned), as well as completing a top/down space shooter that i named Space Commander 3 (completely unlike the previous attempt). Klik gaming again took a back seat for a few years before starting work on R.P.G. Rocket Propelled Guts!

Wow, that's my whole Klik history, not just my first game, and i didn't realise how much i'd actually done and how many games i'd actually completed! Fond memories.....

I made a few test thingies back on AMOS on the Amiga but nothing with a start and finish.
First real thing was Deth in 1996 with KnP. Was pretty much a top view Doom inspired shooter I remade it a couple of years later and that ones on my site... But the original was dire. The tank (the player) was just a circle and the backgrounds were block colour quickbackdrops. My stuff didn't improve until I got the internet and real feedback.

If only I could have told myself where I'd be in 2009 back then I think I'd have studied something else.

Before I start jabbering, does it have to be a game with actual gameplay? Or just the first thing I made?

Comet ball was mine, before I figured out ripped graphics and breakout games were no-no's. I'm still pretty proud of it though.

lol, using my detective abilities, am i right in thinking it was a breakout game with ripped graphics? The sad thing is most of us no longer have most of the first games we ever made (except for Dr. James - i did check them out on your site!). Such a shame...

I made this Arena Fighters game, which was similar to that WAR game ωξяξW○○F did. But it used library graphics (everyone ripped sprites back then!)

Heh, I tried to remake it into Combatant Lite, which didn't work out. The spirit of that game (even the name) still lives strong in my current Combatant project, though. Even named one of the characters in the game after the original one in Arena Fighters.

It's probably going to be my first and last game

Apparently you guys missed the part where I said that we're all obliged to share these old games. Don't worry about them being crap.

There's no way I had this stuff.
I remember making my first "real" klik game when I was about ten, so six years ago. K&P didn't support too much for many genres, so I decided at first that I was gonna build a TD plane fighter (think Galaga or 1942). After I worked on it for about a week, I (as impatient as I was) decided that the level design thing was a leeeeeetle bit too daunting. That's when I had this craaaazy idea. If people play boss battles in these games and consider them the best parts, then why not make a bunch of boss battles and call it a day? In the end, you had free movement in the lower half of the screen while the (to what I can do now, dumb@$$) A.I. scrolled back and forth in a straight line and shot at you with an every command. The every time was the only thing that changed as the game progressed. in the end, a prefab-everything game with poor coding was actually not THAT bad. Interesting for a first game. I think that it was called Big Dogs or something as a dogfighting reference. Writing this almost makes me want to remake it, except good. Almost.

My first ever game is in the dl's section. http://www.create-games.com/download.asp?id=7266 It's crappy now that I look back on it, but for the first ever game I made when I was 10, it's not so bad. Everyone in my class at school loved it.

It started, of course, with the OldManClayton character which I invented when I was oh... 7 or 8? My brother made FDK and then I started making games a year or two later. Found KNP for schools on the internet somehow, finally found Clickteam (was looking for Europress software) and downloaded TGF. The rest is history. Aside from that game, there was also KGN1-8 (which were the greatest things on earth) and Marker Mayhem, where you're a teacher to throws markers at kids who fall asleep... I would upload that one but I think I lost the source (shock and horror! That almost never happens to me anymore! ) and I don't want to upload it without a few changes. I'll probably remake it, it was loads of fun.

But yea, there were a million games I started that I never finished... most of them are buried on my hard drive. I released FDK's Jetpack and finished a sequel (never released it). Also made Pac-man's revenge and a shiny sequel for it... I get all nostalgic when I remember all the ingenious games I started to make when I was little. ...

*Yawn* Mornin in The U.S. -_- I would post my game but I really need to work on it a bit more. Some levels the healh bar actually changes. Also there's no instructions on how to play. (Tho it's insanely easy. The boss was a bit of a challenge tho.) And on some levels you can die, and some you can't. (Ummm....) The game is pure BLEH when it comes to firsts, but really- It brings back the good old...

...

Ok, just since 2006.

Edit: I so agree ricky. I don't know what happened to or even remember my first game file at all.
