Incorrect; cheap cider is cheap and chavy, just like cheap wine and cheap lager is. Good quality cider is something to be cherished and has alot of love gone into it. Being from Herefordshire, one of the top cider-making counties along with the likes of Somerset, it's easy to find many varieties of cider made with love and attention from apple enthusiasts. And pear-cider, or Perry, is also very refreshing this time of year. Though i do think perry is a little girly!

I drink. Some cider's nice, and I'd love to be there when someone tells ye olde middle classes of the Cotswolds that their drink is 'chavvy'. Mainly I'm an absinthe man, vodka, rum, whisky, and I'm partial to the odd cocktail, because they taste nice and anyone that thinks your choice of drink reflects your masculinity needs a lobotomy.
Having said that, drinking cocktails at a bar seems to increase your chances of being hit on by men tenfold.
It'll all blow over.

I'm too a cider drinker but I guess that what happens when you come from the west country.
I hardly drink to be honest, usually at parties (18ths/Weddings) I'll have a few but after getting seriously stupidly drunk on night I don't tend to touch the stuff. I'm perfectly happy in drinking cups of hot steaming tea. (Or Iced Tea in this weather.)
But yeah if I do drink, a nice bottle of cider, proper cider. My friend and I tend to buy this nice medium priced cider called Westons if we fancy a drink. Very very nice. Or if I have any left, home-made cider from Glastonbury, (well actually it's in Pilton) that my uncle makes. He's an alpaca farmer....
