Hello. Do you admin folks think it'd be a good idea to have a Competitions forum. Perhaps just change the "Picture me this" forum to a General Competitions forum. I'm having trouble keeping up with what's currently running and what isn't.
Over at Retro Remakes, they have a Competitions forum, with sub forums called "Currently Running" and "Past Competitions".
Lol, yeah, it'd be a better idea. There's that Competition Judges forum, lol, but it's been dusty.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
There's already a deluge of competitions. That's why I suggested it. It's obviously easy to add forums because KlikCast and (inexplicably) Picture Me This got their own in no time.

I think you're right about an initial surge of competition threads.
SO, I suggest that only one or two members ("competition organisers") have access to make new threads in that forum. Anyone can post messages, but only those competition organisers can post new threads.

I guess that person would be appointed in the same way admins are. Really who knows how it'll work when it's implemented I'm just bumping the topic every few days until Rikus notices.
I'm guessing the easiest way would be for people to make the compo thread in the TDC folder and poke one of us admin monkeys to move it to the competition forum for them (which would only accept new posts, as suggested). Seems a bit simpler than the creation of a competition organiser member category idea
