THERE!!! /now the shot is coming from the very palm of her hand! Problem solved.
Improvement in energy projectiles position, but it still looks wrong because we can see her whole hand and her hand is not affected at all by the energy. Therefore creating the illusion that the hand is in front of the energy projectile. If we saw her hand side on (straight up, only seeing a thumb and one/two fingers and relatively no palm), this would be acceptable for a viewer. However, because of the way the hand is positioned, we need to see that it comes from the center of her palm, not behind/the side of her hand.
Your sprites are pretty good, although I think you've been a bit happy with pillow shading, especially on the dress in your last sprite you posted -- have a look at your running sprites, they have much more interesting shading on the dress.
All your colours either have maximum saturation or none at all, a little more range in saturation would be great.
If you look at the colours in the sprite not a taco posted, you'll see much nicer variety in colours, even the gray/white cloth type thing has colour in it.
More experimenation with hue would definetly help.

The direction of her hand is awkward. The palm is faced towards the viewer, but the fire is coming from the right side of her hand.
Make the palm of the hand face the direction of the fireball.
Just do it yourself, and you'll see how awkward it is.
Kind of like that. Couldnt find a better picture, but meh
It is obvious to me that you have the talent needed to animate, but I would only be impressed if you'd come up with your own caracter design.
About this animation, pretty much everything looks good . I particulary like the right arm movement. Only thing wich bothers me is the hairs behind her neck wich moves unaturaly (too quick).
That's a pretty simple animation, so I hope to see something more complex, such as the running animation when it's complete. Keep up the good work.
