I've not shaved for over a week now and i'm not due back to work until 3rd August. Sonisphere festival is next weekend too, so i may style it somehow for that. I like my face shaved and smooth and looking suave, but i also like to not give a crap about shaving and forget about it for a week or three - it makes me feel like a big man.
Personally, I think it's disgraceful that in this day and age, men can't have a bit of facial hair without being deemed scruffy and unprofessional, and that employers are still able to discriminate on such grounds.
The whole Adrian Chiles thing showed that a lot of people agree.
The fact is, some guys (myself included) just don't suit the clean-shaven look, and while I'm never going to be Brad Pitt, I believe I should have the right to do the best I can to make myself look good.
As it happens, I've never had the kind of job where presentation was an issue at all, so I can get away with a more casual (I guess you'd call it "surfer") style.

My face was just fine when my facial hair was growing for the first time, but ever since I had to shave it for my job, it gets itchy whenever it grows too long, which takes about two days.

I barely grow any facial hair basically due to my half-asian genes, but I still shave every day with an electric shaver. I couldn't grow decent stubble, let alone a beard if I wanted to.
I think i may go for a handle-bar moustache next week, when i do get round to shaving. And for the record, i also add it to my pre-shower routine, using a Gillete Mach-3 Turbo, as the water helps wash away the blood when i cut myself. That's also why i don't do it after the shower.
I shaved today after my shower. I honestly dont know how guys cut themselves, Ive been shaving since I was 15-16 (now 24) and have never cut myself. Something that Im quite proud of but also confused as to how it's done, it seems quite simple to me that you dont apply too much pressure and you'll be ok.
