Lets just take these words into account from tetsuya:
"Then again, maybe you were surprised and upset by my reply because you thought you were just being helpful. Anyways, let's just take this as a lesson learned and move on. But to show there is no hard feelings, you're also invited to sumbit your own female character. "
Lets just drop it now before things really explode and it would suck closing this topic because it is a really cool thing to see what comes out of it.

Well, I can only second that.
Mr. Shino, I can fully appreciate artistic integrity, but if you feel your spritework to be violated by someone offering input on how your overall sprite design looks to the public, then you are acting childish. I will not admit to being a 'horrible sprite-violator', since most people use this way to learn and improve, there are entire community sections that edit each others sprites to help one another, but foremost, you didn't convey that you would be FUBAR if offered CC.
If you take a look at the other topics in this forum you'll notice how most people here are looking for help to improve their spriting. So sorry, you were in the wrong place to expect not getting any crit.
And you see, my editing your sprite doesn't in any way harm your original work. I was merely trying to help you with something I supposed was a problem to you. I didn't know it was 'your style', I guessed that you were having trouble aligning the facial structure, cause to me, it looked like it.
I won't say I'm sorry if I violated your artistic integrity. Had it been an original piece on canvas that I went on and edited you'd be in the position to react as you do, but this is about digital art in a community forum, you need to heads-up people if you have dramatically fixated thoughts on artistic integrity. Or not post it for everyone to see and/or get a hold of.
I wouldn't have writ this wall of text if you had simply said;"Oh, gee... thanks. But I'm not looking for CC, and I feel a little uncomfortable about people editing my sprites..."
It's called being polite, and since you show your pride of living in Japan, try and pick up that custom, you get a whole lot further with it.

EDIT: Edited to fit Rikus editing, but I won't change my reply though - I believe it to be polite and relevant.

I said in my opening post (and again, many times later) that I was going to make a sprite version of someone's character. Any yet you still posted this, 'I imagined a hand drawn character like those in your signature, not a sprite'
I hate trolls, Mr. Adam. If you don't have anything worthwhile or even relevant to say, then please don't post in my thread.

I couldn't agree more. All I could think about at work was how I was going to go about drawing this different characters. I'm really looking forward to it.
I think this is one big misunderstanding. It never entered my head that someone would try to edit one of my sprites, because I wasn't asking for help. However, it appears that if someone posts any kind or artwork, people assume he is looking for C&C. And sometimes people are looking for help, and other times people just want to show off their shiny new toy.
So maybe I'm at fault for not clearly stating I didn't want C&C. And maybe others are at fault for assuming I did. Honestly I think it's both. But one thing is for sure; this has already gotten old and is distracting from the original goal of those thread. Which is to have fun drawing.
I plan to draw all the ladies posted here. You can help me out by posting images of females that were just named.
Also, don't be scared to get in on the action yourself. If you always wanted to redraw Mia, or the others, now is the perfect time to try. Just don't edit the source or my own sprites. That's all I ask.
Barring C&C altogether is probably not a good idea. You should welcome feedback and different views from other skilled artists. You don't have to act on all of it. Come on, you should know this by now! You obviously have talent, so you've probably been doing this for a while.
I don't think anyone is "at fault" here, but when another skilled artist tries to help you improve as he sees it, don't take it as an attack on your skills. Because then nobody will want to participate! In these types of communities, "look what I made" means "reactions, please". Could be a fault, could be a good thing. Just assume it's the latter.
But I understand why you were frustrated. Sometimes you just want to show stuff without getting knee-deep in corrections. And if that's what you want, that's what we'll do.
I would post the only female character I have for you to draw, but I don't have much art of her.

^ This.
Personally, whenever I show something and other people make suggestions or "touch up" my drawings (as was the case here), I take it as a sign that other people are interested in my work. I'd be far more disappointed if I posted something and nobody commented on it.
But it's time to carry along. I think that if anything else is to be said on the matter, it should be taken to PM/IM/DCmail, ne?
Tetsuya; maybe Mia from Eternal Daughter isn't supposed to be sexy or cute. Maybe the artist didn't want to sexualise her at all. But - he probably wouldn't act like a dick if you told him so.
Greeting everyone. It's been a busy week, but so I couldn't really get around to doing this until now;
As you can see, I removed the self imposed color restrictions (I had just used the same colors found in the original). I colored her the way I normally do. I also redrew her hair a bit and added the bangs in front of her forehead that the first version lacked.
And just for fun, I made a second, alternate version of Mia. In this version I removed the armor, made her dress longer, and gave her metal gauntlets on each arm with red cloth underneath. I may or may not make alternates for future challenges.
I'm going to try to draw the females in the order they are posted. However, I can already tell a few games were posted without images to go with them. I have very limited free time. So if you guys could post images of the girls you'd like me to try to drew it would be really helpful.
@OldManClayton: Thanks for your submissions. They look rather easy to do, so they shouldn't be a problem to draw. I am indeed just going this for fun. While interesting points were made, I still do not want C&C. If you really feel the need to ingore my wishs and 'correct' me, just send me a PM.
Well, it looks like Strife's Violet Star is next on the list. This could be interesting.

Thank you for indirectly calling me a dick. I think you missed the point I was trying to make there,.. but that's cool. I admit I blew up and said some things a rude way. However, this is old news now. If this issue still bothers you, feel free to send me a PM.
Wow, your Mia definitely looks better with the extra colors and hair bangs. The alternate outfit looks cool too! An interesting take on a rather well-known heroine in the klik community.
I think eveyone here has spoken their opinions, and I couldn't agree more when I read Jon Lambert's post, and offcourse Adam's post.
There is a f***ing limit to how hostile you're going to be agains every f***ing one here.
EDIT: There used to be some more hate here, decided to remove it, saw it had calmed down a bit.
