Points, although pointless (), are a interesting and fun feature. Sadly the thought of spending 500 points on a little icon is mind-blowing, as gaining points is very hard. Please, lower the prices of these items.

Can't argue that he doesn't have a good point this time
Just write a bunch of reviews, buy whatever you want and then delete the reviews? I've wondered before if that would work.

If a pm were made, it wouldn't be apparent to others, who might possibly take the lack of input on that image as permission for more lewd content. Also wasn't really sure if I should remove it or not, so someone else could have come by and said "that needs removing"

Search Viagra in google images with Safe Search set to Strict. It's the 3rd result.
I don't see how exactly it is a borderline No No. When people get old, their bodies don't work as well as when they were young. So, we get hearing aids for our ears, classes for our eyes and viagra for our willies. I would be gladly tell that to my 3 year old.
Regardless, thank you, I know now that it is risky to post any images because they may offend somebody. I visit this site at least once an hour and if my account were banned I don't know what I would do. Probably, take me shotgun out to the back shed...
And so I leave this world,
where the heart must either break or turn to lead.

Singing off, Mr Chris Burrows
...the picture doesn't offend though. What I meant by borderline is that they're both naked? I mean, come on, if it had gotten worse than that. The warning just says don't let it get worse than that. You weren't at risk of any sort of reprimanding with that image.
Of course, by "worse than that" I mean seeing actual pornographic content. There're some pretty inappropriate ads on the internet that go farther than that which I was just trying to keep out of here.

Addicted? Maybe we need a TDC anonymous
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
Creating content (such as articles and reviews, or even projects and game/app downloads) for TDC is the most effective way to gain points. Try it.
Interesting to note is that if you post too much content in a single day, you'll reach a limit and can no longer post more content until the next day. It's a primitive "quality filter" that nonetheless is tested by certain folks here.

I've never seen The Matrix. And I wasn't reprimanding him! All I did was just let everyone who saw it know that that's probably as far as it should go. To prevent people from posting worse pictures! He did nothing wrong.
I agree with the TC, spending 500 points on all those "tags" which are preset terms and not things of your choosing, seems extremely outrageous. Its not like you can even do much with them anyway, can you? Even the most popular active members could probably easily go broke if they decide to actively use that feature.
I don't see making reviews and then deleting them as a good solution, I mean that's spam and it would ruin our points system even more.
And all the viagra, etc images being posted on the first page, those ARE bots, right?

Well my bad for not looking at their post counts then, but seriously, is it actually allowed here? Because based on what was posted, the first page of this topic just looked full of spam to me.

Someone doesn't get the joke.

Someone doesn't get the joke.
No, I didn't, my apologies. But its still really spammy for a forum like this nonetheless.
Maybe this forum is different, but Im sure clickteam's official forum wouldn't allow it, even if a joke. And I don't just mean the sexual content, but all the other pointless stuff too.
I'm sorry if I misjudged you. But please make sure you NEVER mock someone due to them not getting a joke. Not saying you did that here. But Im getting trolly vibes from some people here, and I cant always tell, so I want to make myself clear. Doing that makes people feel bullied in a way.
Say no to bullies
Trolling is cyberbullying, as far as I'm concerned!
Once again Im not accusing anyone, just nipping it in the bud.
I hope the admins are vigilant enough to remove anyone who makes ANY kinda cyber-bullyish comments.
Because from my experience, if a forum's rules says "no flaming other members", that usually isnt enough. People will still bully, and in some cases the admins let it go due to the perpetrator being popular. Often the admins themselves are bullies. And often the admins are teenagers. That was my experience on some of the the Game Maker forums, I really hope the admins of this forum are different. As in more vigilant, more mature.
And I think funny spam is okay, as long as its well intentioned. Its just often a sign to me of what kind of place this is. But it can still be used for good.

Heh, I don't know if it was worse or better. There was more bullying no doubt, but the higher activity was more fun. When a community nears the end of its lifespan, all you have left are the people who are too stubborn to leave and the people who have nowhere to go. It turns into either a troll hell that destroys what little is left, or some reclusive retirement home.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
Well, if there was a lot of bullying, weren't the bullies just banned? It kinda sounds to me like maybe it was tolerated a little. It should never be tolerated, even from regular, popular members. popularity doesnt make you a good person. and bad people on a forum make it a bad forum.
The problem is drawing a line between playful teasing and bullying. If a popular user makes some snide comments, should they be treated the same as a brand new user that has done nothing but troll? I would say no.
Have you even been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
If its just one time, maybe they didnt even mean to offend, then yeah, forgive their mistake. But if someone continues to make sarcastic remarks in a way that is hurtful and doesnt stop.... then they should be kicked to the curb even if they are popular, right?
The thing is that on Game Maker forums, I have been REPEATEDLY bullied by popular users, and nothing was done about it! They claimed it was playful teasing, but it wasnt, because I told them I didnt like it and I asked them to stop numerous times, but they didnt. They said mean things about my games and claimed it was constructive critisism. They called me really hurtful names, and one of them even found my phone number, and called me. They recorded the conversation against my will, stole a personal photo of me from my mom's website (then claimed what they did wasnt stealing), and uploaded it to ytmnd.com. But those members still continued to be considered "respected" members of the community. Though "popular kid" fits the idea better, because they weren't respectFUL! They were just Massie Block, who is mean but everyone wants to be friends with her because she is so cool.
The admins of those forums were also among the bullies themselves. They abused their mod powers in order to mock me in my own posts by editing them. I'm talking about gamemakergames.com, I really hope this forum is much better than that.
This experience has made me sensitive, I hope it doesnt sound like I am judging or accusing this community of being something that it is not.
What you mention is terrible. I've never seen it happen in the years I've been here. Even the TK fora guys were mild compared the people you mention. I'm sure that will not happen here, don't worry
Now the real problem is when you got an unrelated member "playing hero"
Person A says something at person B's expense, person B doesn't mind because s/he knows it's just joking around. Person C on the other hand intervenes, not because s/he him/herself is offended, but rather as s/he views everyone else as delicate flowers who are unable to fend for themselves.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
Part of what makes it hard for me, is that I love sticking up for people against things that I think are wrong. And I also have trouble picking up on jokes sometimes.
Well I think its wrong to be mean, even to him. but if by "bash him" you simply mean being honest and pointing out that he is mean and a troll, then yeah, go right ahead. honesty is good. I kinda wish they would just ban him though, I think his posts kinda disturb the peace.
never heard of Dogzer. but some of the extreme bullies on the GMG I just mentioned, had released respectable games. not all of them probably.
Although not releasing games makes it easier to pass them off as "just a troll", releasing games shouldnt make bullying any more tolerable.
It should. We can ban members that just troll and don't produce content for the community. Those that do produce content, we feel much worse when we ban them.

So you're telling me.... that if someone calls me really hurtful names repeatedly, and even gets ahold of my phone number and harasses me, that releasing a well-made game should make that tolerable? Because that is what these bullies I mentioned did to me! I didn't feel welcomed at that community, nor did I even feel safe. Yet these members were extremely respected. It shouldnt matter how popular they are, or what games they have made. Bullies are bullies.
In my opinion trolls are also bullies, but these people did far more than troll.
And just fyi, having to ban them WOULD be a shame. But protecting the community should come first.
And its also protecting the community's reputation. Because obviously, if the admins had done something to make me feel safe from bullies of the highest level, I wouldn't be here complaining about them. I wouldn't tell every friend I talk to not to use their site, because its such a hellhole.
Dialga-Brite TDC is pretty nice compared to some other places online, this place used to be a lot worse as Phred stated. Apart from one member, it was never really meant to hurt anyone though.
There are a couple of trolls but the other people on here are good people . I think the Clickteam forums are as dull as dishwater, and I refuse to prove that I own MMF2 just from a belief standpoint (I refuse to accept ID cards or carry one!).
So far no one here has really treated me badly. I just don't like the idea though, of getting away with bullying due to how well accomplished you are. Priests are considered holy and good, but sometimes they molest people! The politicians are supposed to serve the constitution, they are also in a high government position, but they often put their selfish wants first. Get my point? But as long as its not allowed to go far like I mentioned, I guess its okay.
And in defense of clickteam's forums. Poeple there have been extremely helpful to me. In fact I can think of at least 5 or six topics where people have given me valid help for my Meloetta game, that actually solved something!
I actually like the badges, theyre cool to look at and they remind me of how proud I am to own both MMF and its add-ons. I CAN understand the possibility of people being worried about security there, but I don't know what to say to them really. In my opinion they are a little paranoid, but its still understandable. Maybe all that's needed perhaps is for clickteam to explain to them why/how its more secure than they think.
The clickteam forums are far better for getting help with your games, and anything else with MMF2. It's just a more professional community, so it's hardly going to be as fun as TDC. As for the serial number registration, I don't see a problem with it. I would much rather help a user that I know paid for their copy of MMF2 than one that just pirated it. Plus, it keeps people like Fordom away. Before, when users would post issues with updating, the only responses they got were to contact Clickteam with their serial number (and be detected as a pirate). Now, we can publically see who has purchased the copy and actually give relevant help and information. If a user only owns TGF, we won't suggest they use a certain extension, since TGF can't use them. When products are added to a user's account, they also gain special access to certain forums, such as Owner's Lounges (with access to betas and other info) and exporter beta forums. I think it's a great addition.
Have you even been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
If a serial number is obtained illegally, can it not still be registered?
Because you make it sound like it can't be.
How exactly does the system know its illegal?
I am still fundamentally against proving my innocence. Why should I even bother to take a few minutes of my time to prove I own MMF2 (Considering I have been to the convention). It should be CT's job to find my name and check if I own a copy (if they wish to do so), not mine.
It looks kind of sad that a company has nothing better to do than ensure people on the forum are legit - time that could have been spent far more wisely, perhaps on MMF3? I find the implementation of the serial system odd too; I can ask for technical help without a serial but not have a chat and ask general questions? Bizarre!
If you are going to have a serial system, issue a demo serial - that way you could at least implement the system with some logic behind it.
Ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat.
I would say the best contributors in terms of using MMF2 are on TDC and not CT. Some of the most impressive examples and articles IMO have come from two TDC members in particular.

Actually, I think that way is more logical. Because if demo users have a problem with the program that doesnt get solved, theyre less likely to decide to buy it. The more "social" parts though, means you are more a part of them.
Clickteam has more than one person, and they have more than one thing to do. Sure, they could have all been working on MMF3, but seeing as Jeff isn't a programmer and he's the one that runs the forum, his work was far better placed there. There are countless times in which we've found that longtime users of the program are pirates. If they aren't going to contribute to the company, I have no interest in helping them. You have every right to be against proving your innocence. You also have every right to not spend time at the Clickteam forums, much in the same way a person who doesn't believe in paying taxes gets no social support. If you don't want to prove that you put money into Clickteam, and by extension, the community, then you don't get the benefits.
