I never "got" the sims either, tried it but it seems dull (I am an old school FPS gamer, strategy and racing gamer). I thought the Sims approach to selling a game and then selling multitude of add on packs was rather apt for everyone having to purchase the exporters again for MMF3.
Clickteam have to make their money somehow though, and the exporters will be new and improved so it makes sense.
I now have Duke Nukem Forever (bundled in with the 2k Games pack I brought in the new year steam sale). Going to be interesting to see what it is really like.
The difference is that the exporters are actually useful (unlike the Sims expansions) and offer a chance at netting a profit almost entirely unavailable without them. I definitely don't regret buying the flash exporter, as I've made enough money to cover the cost of MMF2, the exporter, and a new computer. Ad revenue pays for me website each month too.
Have you even been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
