Oh, thank you for bringing this to my attention!
So, the mystery song isn't the one you linked, but it is one of the ones on my list.
And I'm sorry I never updated the thread here, but the mystery was already solved, and it was thanks to Convert2Double! He put together a Reddit thread a while back to archive the music Scott used in his games: https://www.reddit.com/r/scottgames/comments/7az1ql/list_of_all_theme_songs_that_scott_cawthon_used/
And the mystery song was in there! It was a town song from Tales of Phantasia, the Town of Water/Hydropolis/Venezzia. I realize I never thanked him properly for solving the mystery, so if you're around Convert2Double: Thank you! I'm grateful you helped put to rest this 15-year-old mystery of mine!
And I don't mean to seem ungrateful, Joshtek, I don't even know how you came up with the list of midi files used in the game, but I'm sure it could have been a very strong lead otherwise! I'm almost curious how the mystery would have unraveled in that direction.

He basically dumped all of the MIDIs used in the game. That's how he was able to make the list of MIDIs.

It was all thanks to a guy named Landorf. He managed to get some of Scott's online games to work again. And after playing them, us people at the ScottGames community had smiles on our faces.
