Lots of people were mean to each other. The smart ones learned from their mistakes and tried not to do anything to upset the crowd, while the others continued with their foolish ways and were duly stoned to death/burned at the stake.
most of the people in charge were foolish but nobody could stop them.
anyway when people had the choice to change others titles i knew it would end up just annoying everyone with the likes of "im a fagman! lol" although nobody actaully wrote that
i wasnt happy that i got flamed for ages because i complained that tops 2 wasnt accepted
there is no excuse for the dumb way people acted (not that they want to apologise)
but ive come to accept tops 2 isnt that great anyway
I never really went to TK, to be honest. I think I saw it once, but certainly never signed up. Mainly because I don't like elitists who aren't prepared to help others achieve, and a LOT of people I spoke to said that TK was filled with em.
Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.
Ah, yes, TK. It was like an assassin's den (and that's not necessarily a bad thing). It had the latest news, faster than any other klik site could get it.
The forums were all fairly hostile and had really, really pathetic jokes, but once in a while, some thing really funny appeared in the Roofle Den that made me literally roll on the floor laughing.
The content was far better than TDC, but for some reason, I always preferred the DC. Maybe it was my adminage, maybe the laughable stuff in the forums. I dunno.. it just seemed so much more fun here. I never really downloaded games anyway.
Strangely enough, nobody was really hostile to me in person back in the TK. They might have said some stuff about me when they thought I wasn't looking, but I hung around the TK much, much more than most people would believe. It was amusing as well to see how Chris, Ben and Hamish used to talk/whine/complain about the community on #TGF back during the TK days.
Oh well. I still hate TK for introducing so many lamers into the community, though. If it wasn't for the TK, I bet *some* people wouldn't be half as lame. The poison from TK seems to be wearing off as well, but then, so does the fun we've all had from it.
