yeah its best to use a bare-bone pixelation tool instead of a artsy fartsy photoflop tool.
I use the tgf editor, tho I do my games in MMF now, I can't work with the MMF sprite editor.
For gfx tuts u can search DC for articles, I think there are some good ones around. I did 2
gfx tuts, but only the first one makes sense.
MMF's picture editor and it's copy/cut/paste bug in general are very annoying. I do all my original sprite work ideas in Paint Shop Pro and import them into MMF and put the animations together there. Eventually I have to take what I already made and edit it inside MMF, though. Clickteam reported that in MMF2 they would use the Jamagic picture editor engine.
you don't have to leave click! i am a c++ programmer too. and visual basic is a good choice.
what kind of GFX 3d? if your chucking MMF then the next best thing is 3d, so your gonna need to get yo self a copy of blender! it rocks, check out my screenshots of my online game in MMF that i made with blender

Alee is a Moo proggrammer and is a 3d graphics artist.
Paint could do with a magic wand tool and 24-bit palette (inside the window, without having to change old ones), then i'd like it a lot more

Visual Basic?! Please don't tell me you're actually trying to code even a simple game with that. The only games VB is good for is well... text adventure games. And even "stupid clickteam drag and drop game makers" (i.e MMF 1.5) does FAR better than VB in terms of graphics and coding speed when it comes to to text adventure games. I've tried.
Seriously, though, I can't understand the lack of respect Click programs are getting from most of the world. For some reason, everyone's respecting Authorware more than MMF. I've tried both and I still think Authorware is a piece of junk compared to MMF, yet it's still a favorite around here.
Oh, right, graphics. You want great graphics? Get Photoshop or 3D Studio Max. Photoshop lets you quickly generate shading and do textures nicely. 3DSM is one of the best for large, still stuff, though IMHO, Maya's better with skeletons and animation if you can afford it.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
"If you have left all these "stupid clickteam drag and drop game-makers" then head off to another place to ask them. Go on. Toodle off."
Circy truly who shits a give what he says.I dont take what he said easily , but fuck.If anyone needs to leave this website and clickteam products its YOU.
Your games are a disgrace to click products.
After this you may be thinking what about WWW?WWW sux it just looks professional..
I have no damn gaems on this website.I dont care.Think what you want.Im better than you -_-.
I was in a Q-Basic class once and found someone's game they made with Basic in the computer's files. It was an odd RPG in DOS that was fully graphic and all.
I might have to check Google or something for game development sites for V-Basic users.
Did anybody already mention that visual basic sucks. When you are going to write a program you don’t need GREAT pixel art. When you are going to write a game you need a programming language which less crappy runtime.
Overall VB sucks and I am hungry
