I wouldn't do that. Whenever you turn off your computer, the site is down. I could make a host, but I can't leave my computer on the whole time, and even if I could, it would have to be online all day and night.
Fine Garbage since 2003.
CURRENT PROJECT:
-Paying off a massive amount of debt in college loans.
-Working in television.
That's not the real problem. Your real problem is:
• Getting an ISP that would even let you host a server day and night
• Getting a decent upload speed (ASDL is useless for serving)
• Getting a static IP from your ISP or using a domain name/dynamic DNS service
If you are willing to host a free server download the
windows server 2003 enterprise edition eval. kit from microsoft.
I got to evaluate the super expesive software for 150 days.
well yeah, its not really a thing your gonna do on the side, you need lots of money - and will need to be able to sell webspace to lots of people to make up for it, you need a very fast internet connection (like 100 megabit!) and if you want to make a half decent hosting company you need a good Cpanel (like cpanel9) that costs cash.... alot of cash... i was going to do this with my company but decided against it.
