Placeholder title screen
Posted 20th Jan 11, by HitmanN
Progress has been a bit slow since last update, and I've mostly been working on cleaning and changing the code here and there, and preparing things for savegames. The map screen also now pauses the game, and some of the stats and info will go there instead of the HUD. Still working on the layout, but it's definitely better that way. A new spell and some decorations added though.

Anyhow, I did finish a placeholder title screen recently (see screenshot). I want to add some active effects or animations to it down the road, to make the world seem alive, but so far there's some 'zooming out' action at the start of the screen, with Arina, the main character coming in view from the left. The fonts are the most placeholder thing in the screen, so pay no mind to those. ;P

If anyone is wondering, yes, they're above clouds, on floating island masses. The region is called Skies of Evan, first introduced in the Twisted Fates iPhone game. Hopefully I'll feel like expanding the game enough to spread the story to the Lower Lands as well, but for now we're in Skies of Evan, exploring the Twisted Tower.

Waaaiiit a minute.

How did I miss this project?

It hasn't been front paged, right?

OMC:
I can be discreet like that, lol. Judging by the faves on the project though, it's not gone unnoticed. ;P

I don't mind frontpage, but perhaps you'll want to wait until the next trailer or so. Something new & juicy. Probably a few weeks away.

Blue66:
I'll try and keep myself motivated. That's always the problem with my projects. At least I have a fairly clear plan laid out this time, and haven't encountered any serious coding nightmares yet, so lookin' good.
