Miguel Perez AKA MIG2 (creator of Lost Valley) has been so kind as to allow me to produce a sequel to my favourite klik game of all time.
He will be supplying me with the original file (although it will not be distributed) so we can extract music/sounds from the game.
I was going to keep this project to myself, but I am aware that alot of us love Lost Valley and to make sure its sequal is just as good if not better then i'm opening this up for everyone to contribute.
LOST VALLEY is an action/adventure game by MIG2 in 2001. Made with TGF but adapted on MMF it can be played with a joypad (ctrl+Y)the game is totally finished (2 years of work)
It has adventure mode which the player explored the map and action phases where the view changes to a side scrolling platformer. In both views the player must kill monsters and solve puzzles.
In the original story you (an un-named warrior) must enter LOST VALLEY and fight the God, Zero in order to save your realm. To do so you need the 12 crystals which are hidden in dungeons.
Along the way you find lots of equipement (swords, armors, shields) and items which will help you to progress (aqua boots,compass,etc..).
You also find "special technics" fireball, whirlwind attack, recovery power etc
The game spanned around 30 hours and contained 1184 screens on the map(screen by screen mode like in zelda) 12 dungeons full of traps, puzzles and monsters.
We are currently searching for people who are familier with Lost Valleys system and who are interested in designing a map. Here is an idea of what we need. We just need some direction i.e Where can't the player get to, what does he need to proceed, where is the boss dungeon etc.
So, for example if you look at the map below, we could say the green part up the top is blocked as is the right. You travel far to the left and find a dungeon, you get an item. Which help you unblock the right passage in which you find a dungeon and fight a boss. Once the boss is dead the blocked area to the top is removed.
