Project Overview  
In the year of 2691 Russian forces attacked USA.Quick decisions were made and serveral nuclear missles were launched from USA.Followed by more and more.The rest of world soon joined in what they believed in was fighting for their homeland.Some people managed to survive in bunkers but Earth wont be a sutible planet for the existance of any animals except a couple of rats for thousands of years.But the rats will eat themselves and the world will be a dead wasteland.

The worlds smartest and most important people were rushed of to a spaceship that was being launched at the North Pole, one of the only not targeted areas by the nuclear missles.As the people were boarding the last of the Russian forces were flying over in helicopters, ofcourse in hazmat suits.They quickly over ran the tiny outpost.But by then the spaceship was already flying out into space.

Saddly a critical error soon after launch caused the spaceship to go into sleep mode for about 1231 of years.The people on board had been in hibernation for 3 hours by then so no one could change anything.The system planned the hibernation for 1300 years.By then there wouldnt be people left in those chambers but skeletons.But after 43 years another error led a hibernation chamber to be opened.So far the spaceship had been of power except for a solarpanels using the power of the sun and distant stars to power the hibernating chambers.The power was turned on for about 5 mins.Enough to cause a power surge since the nuclear reactors werent online....but the nuclear engines were on low power consumption mode.Quickly the engines started overheating.A sudden lurge to the right cause an emergancy signal to open the hibernation chambers.And by then most of the air had escaped.Not enough air was being made through the special chamber with plants at in a huge greenhouse on the space ship.That was when the first nuclear engine had exploded.Followed by numerous explosions from other nuclear engines and a 3 nuclear reactors.The end was nigh.

With the chaos going on a small robot had been awoken by the numerous vibrations.It was deigned to be awaken by shaking it.The explosions had simulated just that.You are the robot.One of the only chances for Human Kind to rebuild.Saddly....Isnt it too late?Only you will decide.

The back story is not finished but this is a pretty much final version.

The is mainly about exploration and survival.

Features:

1. Random Generation (or atleast near random)
2. Plenty of upgrades
3. Get to rebuild a small base on a moon.
4. Different Races of Aliens
5. Lots of Planets and Universes
6. Explore abandoned bases and trade with the merchants you find

And many more.....

Only space mode is barely working.The planet exploration mode had been just implemented.

After playing around with movement settings I had fixed the movement and made it so that the player can use the elevators.I had retextured the ice and done some basic improvements.Development slowed down as I study for Summer Exams...

PROBLEMS

Space Mode:
Scrolling doesnt seem to work in space mode.I need to play around with it.Im thinking about enlargening the window size for space mode as the GUI isnt fitting in as planed.
Base Design:
I am thinking about the design of the bases on planets and moons.I had decided to retexture the design and try adding in a couple of objects.Im figuring that I can manage to do random object generation by making sure it doesnt spawn on things like walls and floors (overlapping whaterver) or something like that.

Sorry for any spelling mistakes...

The movement turned out to be really laggy after I tried navigating one of the bases.Tried implementing moving platforms(elevators).Didnt work out too, most likely because of the movement.

Movement:
A serious problem with movement that makes it look like if the game was constantly lagging.It can most likely be fixed by changing some of the application settings and changing accleration and declaration settings.
Platform Problem:A small problem that can most likely be fixed by fixing the movement problem as the platforms DO bring the player up a bit.Otherwise the problem is somewhere else.

Working on Planet Exploration Mode.The Bare landscape of the moon of Zephauseseda.Planning to add some sort of millitary base/abandoned merchant port.The land is transparent/transulecent.Pulled this of in 5 min to prototype movement etc.Also testing out Ink Effects something I usualy dont use.Still didnt decide how to generate/pick at random the frames.

Problems:
How Will the Worlds Generate?
What Different Skills Will there Be?
How Many Diffrent 'metal scraps' should there be per galaxy?

How Will World Generate?
Checking On forum for help with generating and saving random surfaces and caves.If All fails I will retreat to a amount of about40-60 premade levels for each "planet" so that the player shouldnt encounter the same level in the short run.Need to figure out Long run solution and try to achieve basic level generation.

What Different Skills Will there Be?
I will try and focus on the basics now.Figuratively speaking help with moving and upgrade that allow the real upgrades to happen.Im planning on reorganising the upgrade tree so it looks something like from Sid Miers Civilization with the different stages etc.

How Many Different Metal Scraps Should There Be Per Galaxy?
This will be most likely decided by a set of options the player pick when he first makes a save.The option he pick will be monitored in a counter and saved as a .ini file.The option will be changable.Not sure on Ammounts per option tough but its going to look something like this:
Starter:You never played a game of this type or might be wasteful of recources.Extra recources will spawn just for you my friend.No materials had been invested into war through great diplomatic achievemnets.A lotof mining operations exist that are just starting to dig out the extensive supply of materials the universe began with.Ofcourse this wont last foreve but enjoy it while you can.
Indermiediate:You played this game atleast once or twice to know what conservative means when it comes to exploring and combat.Aliens hadnt yet arrived at our universe,at least the agressive ones.Theres a lot of merchant ports with a lot of materials.Little materials had been invested into war but already the recourses needed to power the citys are running out and putting strains on civilzations.(Recommended).
Advanced:Think About adding 200 year from when the events happened and during that time aliens scavaged a lot.Ofcourse this means that space is empty but their advanced base are full of stuff.(Not Recommended for Beginners).
I HATE MYSELF(or Im just boss):This is for people who like the extra challenge.Think about 1000 years had passed since the events.The alien bases had fallen and the precious minerals lost invested in wars.Because of that Enemys are also strong and more powerful.If only you can find one of those military bases.(Not recommended for anyone, even the game designer).
