Sweet game! Very long for a demo, well done. Even though this is 13Mb, the game is worth downloading

this looks really ace, but sadly its far too big

gonna download this right now, looks amazing especially the title screen and innovative player system too? Sounds like a hit to me!

Looks great, MichaelParent. Keep up the good work.

ok, played it - excellent, proffesional presentation very good graphics although I think the explosions could be a bit better. The sound effect quality didnt seem all that great to me but the music was good (i love dnb). I found quite a bad bug though with the music (mods?) mixing together if you choose to go to a different level from the options. You need a new line of code that closes the tune before you open another one. IMO it isnt quite ready yet with these problems for selling but I see it is already available, I hope it does well :) Good luck

Yes they are selling it. This is only a demo. Pretty good game. Nice graphics except the explosions are a bit crusty. The music and sound is alright too but it sounds like the samples are very low quality.

ever notice that nippon shooters get the most props? I have yet the play it, but I must admit that visually,.. it is very impressive

""far too big"? its almost downloaded already for me in 3 minutes... havent you guys heard of cable?" sadly i live in a rural area so i cant get it :(

Sorry but ... allthough this game is fairly good ... I cannot really say it is great. Not that I hate this genre or anything ... the game is just not THAT good. The graphics range from average to pretty good, there are just too many different styles mixed all together. Add a good amount of bugs and the lack of the last touch of finesse, and voila ... you got a medium ranged game. I would never pay a dime for this, sorry. Would really not call it a long demo either ...

I felt like it needed more varied weapons, and less of those heat-seeking missiles. It could do with a bit more innovation in the gameplay too, although the probe thing sounds like a good idea.

"Cable is only available in like 1% of the world... you have to be in an extremely populated area" No you don't I have it and where i live isn't that big though it is populated.

Phew!

Hi Steve, I've replayed the demo, but cannot re-create the sound bug you've described. This is kinda funny, but what i think happened is, the song that plays when you pick other levels is based on the same one from the option screen, but its got another layered beat. So it probably seemed like two songs playing at once. Give it another listen, if you would and tell me if this is the case. thanks :)

this game is awful

Posted by steve 8th February, 2004

the bug happened when I "chose" a level from the options screen and then died and then restarted, then the title screen music mixed together with the file before.

Could somebody please tell me why fullscreen games won't work for me? The game 'freezes' every 10th second. Completely unplayable.

Posted by MichaelParent 9th February, 2004

Wow! That's aweful! Does it happen with every full-screen MMF made game? You should probably tell Clickteam and describe your systems hardware and operating system as best you can. My game is pretty taxing, though, how fast is your processor? If you're interrested, i'll make a version of the demo that isnt full screen so you could see if its any better. Let me know. :)

That server sucks. Even on ADSL i'm only getting 10kb/sec. I'll tell you what it plays like in 20 minutes. If the screenshots weren't so nice, then I wouldn't be downloading The power of good screenshots...

Posted by pixelscope 11th February, 2004

he he he.. believe me. It's not a processor issue.

Posted by pixelscope 11th February, 2004

yea sure. make a windowbased one!

Posted by MichaelParent 11th February, 2004

I noticed someone else mentioning full-screen mode problems on the clickteam forums. I wonder what the story is. Lemme know if you want to try a non-full-screen version. :)

Posted by MichaelParent 11th February, 2004

Hey Pixelscope. Heres a window-based version. I hope it works better for you. http://www.holymonkeystudio.com/WDEMO.zip

this is great. i espeshily love the graphics. though you have to get through and awful lot of asteroids to get to anything that actually shoots back.
