Alright, this is something I've been working on for a little while now. Its far from complete so Ive not added the source. I am thinking about giving out the source though.

Anyway, this is taking my previous character generator a step further. It makes creating characters a piece of cake. All you have to do is make graphics for different body parts.

You dont even have to add all the graphics frame by frame to an active object as this generator creates characters for mmf2 specifically. Test it and you'll understand.

Add new graphics in the folders in the 'Database/Male' Directory.
Add new Bases by copying the 'Male' folder and renaming it.

Currently, there are only 2 animations but as time grows on, Ill add more. Once I release the source, hopefully everyone else will add animations as well.

Give it a try and let me know what you think! Also, if you would like to help me out with sprites/animations, let me know! Also please report any bugs.

Just make sure you MOVE every body part to ensure it fits. That's all you have to do to ensure that the character animates SMOOTHLY.

Nice stuff. I'd have to try and steal your tech for my game later on

Thanks mate. You wont have to, I plan on releasing the source soon as long as I know people will use this and contribute to the community by uploading more characters/clothing/animations.

If I knew how I think I could help make more! It's very nice actually. It's not a bad idea for such a simple way to animate a character!

It's actually pretty nice but has a lot of bugs.

It's gets even buggier when you add your own graphics Image

EDIT: I'll report some bugs;

- With the default gfx, sometimes the leg and arm animations don't move or only one arm or leg moves.

- Imported gfx are resized and that makes it even worse. The hot spot and action points make no sense (:S)

- It's a bit hard to control with the keyboard. You should just make the be controllable with the mouse.

- It should not be fullscreen btw...

Thanks Mr Green. Thats the feedback I want. Ill get to it straight away though it would be helpful if you tell me when the arm n leg animations dont work.

I dont understand the bit about hotspots and action points though.

And Ill see what i can do about it being mouse controlled. I did it with keyboard so that its easier for me to implement custom controls to it later.

I experienced the same problem actually. It was the Right arm that didn't work and it just stayed in place.

Hmm... Maybe I should try making my own graphics just too see for myself.

Umm no. The right arm isnt supposed to move. Its supposed to hold a weapon so its supposed to stay stationary.

But sometimes it also moves

It does?? I cant imagine why. Can you possibly send me the graphics you have made that you give you these problems? That way I can try to figure out whats wrong with it.

It should definitely be an option whether the arm should move or not, I think. Just for flexibility.

Note: I have not tried the app because I don't click anymore these days, but the concept sounds interesting.
